Should Mr Potato Head become gender neutral?“Mr Potato Head” is a brand name, nothing more sinister than that!ViewDate:

Would you be happy with a driving curfew over the age of 70?In Australia and NZ, the over 70s take an annual driving test. Therefore if you’re fit, good eye sight and reactions you should be allowed to drive without restrictionsViewDate:

Would you consider NOT replacing your pet to save the planet? This illogical. Cats and dogs have every right to be on the planet! Humans are more damaging to the environment than cats and dogs. Therefore should we stop having babies to save the planet!ViewDate:

Have the new coronavirus rules gone far enough? This is unprecedented times, with no easy one answer. A full lockdown in March was right as no-one knew how to “manage” this thing and it did bring down the infection rate. However, there was a big cost, to the economy, people’s livelihoods. There will be significant unemployment post furlough next month, businesses closing; people losing their livelihoods, town centres becoming ghost towns; plus, the rent holiday is now finishing and with rising unemployment people will be evicted. The social cost of lockdown is unimaginable. The key reason for lockdown was a concern the NHS would not cope with the number of covid cases…fear the UK would see scenes like in Italy, with too many people dying, and the hospitals not being able to cope. Six months on, with the damage to the economy, lockdown is no longer the only strategy. Hospitals now have better insight on treatments, but a vaccine, of course, is the holy grail. The government could now instead of a full lockdown, redeploy the money used in furlough and invest more resources in both the NHS, care homes and the vulnerable. Thereby they will have the ability to cope with more cases. And with this, we must protect and shield the most vulnerable, that is, those who are at high risk of recovering from the virus. And then, ensure mandatory wearing masks, social distancing, and wash hands. Get the economy going, so that more money comes into the government coffers = more investment for NHS, care homes and people can make a livelihood.ViewDate:
