Win a Magic Bullet 2.5L Air FryerI am all for trying any new kitchen gadget if it is going to make my life easier and save money and by the number of people I hear from who own an air fryer then both my boxes are ticked.ViewDate:

Making friendsHello Carolkiely, As you can see from my comment I replied to Robin but never heard another thing, as did one other person. Although not a widow, I am friends with two, one whom I phone every week and the other I meet every other week. I used to go to a knitting group where 80% were widows, all lovely people, but I decided I don't like knitting so gave it up. There are many people in your situation in Norfolk, especially in Norwich, and there are groups you can join and others you can meet, depending on your interests. I understand that going out to a group is hard, as is being on your own at home, especially, in the evenings, weekends and for you it is still early days. If you want to chat on this site or by phone let me know.ViewDate:

Making friendsHi Robin2, I have to say I don't use this site very often I would if you want someone to chat with. I have lived in Norfolk for some 40 odd years and it is great because we are all fairly close to the sea, countryside (before it all disappears with the NDR housing boom) and of course the city. Although I am not a gardener, but enjoy what others can achieve, I have, I believe, been to almost every garden centre in Norwich, but generally for the coffee and cake and Moulton Garden Centre in Acle have the biggest scones I have seen. What would you like to chat about?ViewDate:

Ready to Chat from Australia! - [DELETED_MEMBER]Hi Fea, Yes a difficult time, even more so for introverts, but at least you will be able to sit in the sun. It's grey, grey and more grey here in my part of the U.K and now we are heading for winter. I have family in Brisbane which is not so badly affected and the family there are all either working or studying so busy at least. You can't control what other people are doing so ensure that number one priority is you. I make sure I rarely sit and watch t.v all day for its own sake but I do spend time on Youtube ensuring that each day I exercise which is so good for your mental health. I am also learning spanish, and I can crochet at beginner level . I also attend a weekly line dancing class where there are 16 of us so some events are still ongoing. However I am best at pottering, this makes the day go pleasantly. Don't feel too alone and unhappy. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Start now by choosing events you want to join once Covid settles down or see if there are any events happening in your area. I tried different things when I retired several years ago and settled on those I like most. There are plenty of folk on this site who want to talk to you so keep in touch.
