What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts?Thank you for your reply BarbaraW12. I too used to give regular donations to charities when I was working. I stopped giving to Amnesty international when I heard of the secret pay off scandal to former chiefs amounting to £300,000, which was a lot of money in 2009 when it happened. Would you believe when I stopped the payments a call centre working on behalf of Amnesty kept trying to reinstate me. A man described a very upsetting human rights breach in a foreign country in explicit detail in order to pressurise me to donate again. My husband was furious. It upset me for days. He wanted to complain. Perhaps I should have. If these top bosses were payed less millions more people could be helped. It is completely insane. No wonder ordinary people resent handing over their hard earned cash to fund some ceos luxury lifestyle.ViewDate:

Should people have their passports removed for using drugs? They should certainly have their car removed. I smell cannabis emanating from numerous cars these days. My husband can't smell it at all. It's as bad as drink driving.ViewDate:

What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts?I agree about the cancer adds. Do we need constant reminders of the illness we may well end up with? The adds are far too frequent, and the words "one in 3 people will get cancer in their lifetime".......I look around the room and think which one of is will it be?ViewDate:

What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts?Hi Zac32, what annoys me most is that the ceo and many other top bosses of these charities have telephone number wages. Yet they fund their charities by begging money from ordinary people on relatively low wages usually. I don't believe we should turn away from these images, at least in theory, even though they are difficult to watch. Having said that, no one turns them off more quickly than me. The ads make me cry every time.
