Do you think we’re facing chaos now we’re leaving the EU?Three weeks or so ago I watched an interview with a member of the EU who is responsible for trying to balance the books. Asked what the EU would do as our contribution will be less than expected due to the fall in the pound he said it will have to be managed somehow, when pressed further by the interviewer he said it is unfair for the other 27 countries to have to pay more because of our decision to leave the EU which triggered the fall. He said they wouldn't be very happy as it had resulted in 2 billion shortfall which was our fault. Then stated that perhaps the UK should make up the shortfall. The interviewer said, but the other year when our economy was doing really well we had to pay an additional 1.9 billion to the EU. To which he replied this is only fair! I am sure he was making mischief as he was saying these things with a twinkle in his eye, but confirms to me the EU think they have a never ending supply of money all the time we are a member.ViewDate:

TRAVELING SOLO AND LOOKING FOR A COMPANION?Hi, like so many others, since being widowed, I am fed up paying double for a holiday. So would like a travel companion, to share a cabin. My favourite holidays are cruising, but don't really mind, although I am not good with beach holidays. I am now looking to book another cruise either a fly cruise to the Caribbean (January, starts & finishes in Barbados calling at 10 islands) or one to the Artic Circle (next month if they have a cabin) Please let me know if you are interested. Also I am interested in other holidays if someone needs a companion, I often travel with friends but as they mostly a lot younger than me they are not retired yet. Also I would love to go back to Canada, but this time do the west coast or the Rocky Mountaineer, USA and Alaskan cruise.
