Do you think Princess Beatrice and Eugenie should be given royal duties?Lionel that is very interesting and something I've never heard or seen before but you have brought up an excellent point. It would normally be unheard of for a King to ascend the throne after marrying a divorcee. I think we will have to wait at least 10 years before we find if this is the case.ViewDate:

Do you think Princess Beatrice and Eugenie should be given royal duties?Beatrice and Eugenie haven't done themselves any favours when it comes to their image, particularly Beatrice who over the last few years has had so many holidays she must have lost count. I'm sure the public and I include myself here think that if she becomes a "full time royal" she'll have more time for holidays. Another issue that annoyed Andrew was the decision to stop funding security for his daughters, although he now pays for this himself, out of the public purse no doubt.ViewDate:

Do you think Princess Beatrice and Eugenie should be given royal duties?I don't see any reason why not, unless his mother outlives him. I know some people don't want him to be King but it would be difficult to pass him over and give William the throne. I'm sure you'll elaborate Lionel as to why you asked the question.....a very appropriate one I must say.ViewDate:

Do you think Princess Beatrice and Eugenie should be given royal duties?I read somewhere that the Queen has agreed with Prince Andrew and thinks the princesses should have more of a role in the royal family but whatever the outcome when Charles becomes King he will do things his way and Beatrice and Eugenie will be sidelined. They have both attended university and have degrees so they should build on that experience.ViewDate:

Would you support Junior Doctors if they go on strike?Well he's insulting the doctors even more. I was an 8c as well, I don't think there were many of us at all and there will be even less now. I wasn't replaced by an 8c. More cost cutting.ViewDate:

Would you support Junior Doctors if they go on strike? My grade was Matron but we don't have the same job description as the old matrons did unfortunately. I agree bring her back and also bring the ward domestic under the jurisdiction of the Ward Sister. I remember just how wonderfully clean everything was and as nurses we had to do damp dusting as well. That wouldn't happen these days.ViewDate:

Would you support Junior Doctors if they go on strike?Junior doctors does not include registrars. They would be insulted to be called that after the amount of training and years worked in the NHS. A junior doctor is below a registrar.ViewDate:

Would you support Junior Doctors if they go on strike?Junior doctors haven't "worked for years" before they become doctors. Junior doctors are the grade that have recently qualified so some (the doctors who qualified in the summer) will have very little experience of working long hours and weekends. These doctors are the lowest grade doctors working their way up through the ranks until they become registrars. Historically all junior doctors have worked long hours and they know what is expected of them when they first apply for medical school. Let these doctors have weekends off and heaven help any patient being ill at the weekend.ViewDate:

Would you support Junior Doctors if they go on strike?I'm a nurse although retired and worked for over 40 years on what may would consider a poor salary for the job I did and the extra unpaid hours I worked. But I did it without grumbling because it was a job I chose to do, you could say it was a vocation. Did we ever strike? No never because our patients came first. I never thought I would see the day doctors would vote to strike and I am appalled. Patients will now suffer because operations and out patient appointments will be cancelled. Other patients will probably have to stay in hospital an extra night because the other doctors ie consultants and registrars will be too busy to discharge them. A very sad situation indeed.ViewDate:

Should drivers over 70 be tested every three years? Why not make every driver who kills retake their test? There have been many occasions when drivers in their late teens early twenties have driven fast cars and killed or maimed other drivers. It can't be one rule for them and another for the over 70's.ViewDate:

How has your life been affected by arthritis?I had a steroid injection in my shoulder in March and I am just starting to feel the pain again after almost 6 months of relief. So it is well worth a try. I know they don't work for everyone but I don't think you have anything to lose. Good luck.ViewDate:

Should terminally ill patients have the right to die?I'm a retired nurse and I can still remember the time I worked on a medical ward where most of the patients had terminal illnesses. I will never forget them screaming in pain and one man who was scared to close his eyes because he thought if he did he would die. These patients did not have a nice peaceful death but if the doctors had been allowed to assist them to die (which is what most of them wanted) it would have been far less distressing for them and their relatives. -
