UK Census 2021Sorry have not replied previously, it appears that the notes telling me people had replied went into my spam folder. I don't mind taking part but I'm concerned about the timing (mid Pandemic), the fact that there's been so little publicity . I'm concerned about the digital aspect too, even though there is an even less publicised paper option. Genealogy, I prefer someone else to do the work then tell me who I am related to. Funerals (To attend or not to attend)?I think you are very perceptive. You are right, I won’t be attending. My sister, who was closer to my cousin and her family, will be attending. Thanks for your thoughts.ViewDate:

Are you happy to have your second jab delayed?According to a predicted waiting list there's about 9 million in the queue before I get my first one so the second one is something I haven't thought about. PS I don't really believe the information is correct but it made me laugh. My other half is expecting a home visit to get a home visit to in the next few weeks, I could jump the queue as a unpaid carer but I don't think I'll bother.. Keep SafeViewDate:

Will you take the Covid-19 vaccine when you are offered it?It’s FREE, why not? Seriously, everything my doctors offer because I’m of a “certain age” I accept. Flu jab, Shingles jab, Aortic something or another.. Keep SafeViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year? The numbers get fewer every year. Nothing too drastic, just lost contact with so many people. Not particular worried. Bah Humbug! Keep SafeViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsJews throughout Nazi-occupied Europe were forced to wear a badge in the form of a Yellow Star as a means of identification. This was not a new idea; since medieval times many other societies had forced their Jewish citizens to wear badges to identify themselves.ViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?Isn’t it time we resurrected the phrase “...can we agree to disagree”? It’s important that we get to hear different opinions but not that important we are always right. It appears that the word “argument” as taken on a combative meaning and people are becoming less inclined to accept that sometimes they might be wrong. Keep arguing, it’s amazing what you can learn. Keep Safe. JbViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsRibbons for the “Vulnerable” elderly”. It’s been suggested that people over 70 years old (who are classed as vulnerable should wear a ribbon to identify themselves. My opinion is that we should all fight this.ViewDate:

6 Amazing health benefits of eating strawberries and their topsMy partner has strawberries in her breakfast porridge every morning. Not sure if she’d be too impressed if I included the tops.. I very rarely eat them myself, I suppose I could try them.ViewDate:

Do you buy a daily newspaper or read the news online?I read a national paper online and our local paper in paper form. (which is also available digitally). I think I am an INFOMANIAC and soak up news from any avaiable source.. JbViewDate:

What is your main health concern as you get older? My main worry is that at some stage the treatment I currently receive, free, from the wonderful NHS will not be available or will be too costly.ViewDate:

If you were American would you vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?I've not been very good with recent votes (Labour and Remain) so I would vote Trump in the hope the trend continues.ViewDate:

Should Punch and Judy be banned at public events? The phrase "Get a life" comes to mind. I would like to think I had better things to do than complain about Punch and Judy.ViewDate:

Do you think we’re facing chaos now we’re leaving the EU?We will now be able o discover who the real culprits are behind the current state of the nation. Europe played it's part but not on it's own.ViewDate:

Do you have enough facts yet to make your decision about the EU?Based simply on my experiences when I employment. I hate to think what it would have been like without the various employment laws created by being in Europe. I think we should stay in but expect our politicians to try a bit harder on our behalf.iViewDate:

Should the government be spending tax payers money on EU Leaflets with a one sided view?If both sides of the argument had been presented then it wouldn't have been a problem. I have made up my mind already so the paperwork is definitely wasted on me.ViewDate:

What is your main health concern as you get older? Are you alone by choice or circumstance? You might be amazed how many people are out there willing to help. My social circle has expanded tremendously since I retired earlier this year. It doesn't need to be Lunch Clubs, if the thought horrifies you, there are other ways of socialising. Don't lock yourself away. Best of luck.ViewDate:

Should women only carriages be introduced on trains at night? No. Transport organisations need to be more proactive and provide appropriate security for all passengers irrespective of gender.
