Publishig a bookAre you an ebook publisher? I read a lot of Amazon Sci-Fi books for Kindle but a bit fed up with the general theme of killing and destruction. There's obviously no fun in peace time!ViewDate:

Publishig a bookI am writing a Sci-Fi book. I don't think I will publish it though. I do it because I can research subjects on line from physics to human behaviour and biology and learn something new each day. I have 33 chapters so far and on the third revision. Ihave a great time doing this!ViewDate:

Should smokers, drinkers, drug users and obese people be charged to see the doctor?Agree. But I also think that people should be means tested for all medical services including the pills we take. Anyone who has not paid NI contributions for a minimum time should pay the going rate.ViewDate:

Should smokers, drinkers, drug users and obese people be charged to see the doctor? Some might consider it rather hypercritical if the politicians came up with such rules! It's pretty obvious that things are going to change drastically soon or will they just let it all go bust?ViewDate:

Items to put a smile on your face ? :O)Yodama, I think the ladies here may think that's funny. But us males (I managed a bit of a grin though)! Still, you're inviting some alternative jokes comparing the sexes and I look forward to them!ViewDate:

Do young people really think us 'oldies' are simple? The Princess wasn't thinking right! She should have married him, then eaten him, and then claimed her inheritance!ViewDate:

ExerciseWalking is the best activity when older. It gets the heart beating faster in a controlled manner. I have slight furring in the heart so I can determine if angina is going to start up. Running I would not recommend (at any age!) as it stresses all the organs with that pounding up and down pressure. Biking I am not sure about as one is sitting and squashing a delicate part of one's anatomy!ViewDate:

Sinus bradycardiaThanks LLass. Well, it turned out that an ECG showed some signs (Q wave activity) of a previous heart attack and is with the specialist to see if there is any need for further investigation. I remember now when I awoke in the early hours some time back with all-round chest ache which lasted a few seconds but I put that down to trouble I was having with statins. Since then tests have been inconclusive. So waiting on that and no conclusion on the incident on the beach - just a possible feint! I do now have pains in the arms if I stretch them too far (and a raised heart rate seems to accentuate that) and I wonder if this is a related problem. If I am not careful the pain can ramp up to extreme.ViewDate:

Is modern technology really anti-social? Does it get in the way of real, old-fashioned conversation? What do you think and are your experiences. My app for that is in my brain! So I don't need tech., just start up a conv. When the situation is right and away we go! I call them all tech. Zombies!ViewDate:

Purchase errorGot fed up with windows taking minutes to start up and constant upgrades. My Mac Pro starts up in less than 15 secs. No idea why people buy Windows Office as Libre Office is free and as good (even opens WO files). Apples recent problems with the screen peeling is easy to fix - take it along to a service centre (ring them up first) and get it changed. There is a good forum for advice on any subject. Not bought a single piece of software yet as there is one free for all the work I do. Persevere and you will get the hang of it soon.
