Will you be sending Christmas cards this year? Many of my friends donate to charity to avoid 'wasting' money on something that will be thrown away and I applaud their decision but Christmas is a time to remember family and friends and sending a card is a way of showing people that you're thinking of them. Particularly for people living alone receiving cards can be a joy, a reminder that there are people who care about them, that they are not forgotten. I took the decision many years ago to do both !! I send cards to all my friends and relations and I chose a different charity every year to support - this year I'm supporting Age UK I hand craft all my own greetings cards for 2 reasons 1) I enjoy doing it 2) most people enjoy receiving a unique card. I hope everyone has a blessed and peacful Christmas and that the New Year brings an end to the difficult times we've been living in.ViewDate:

Do you boil your Brussels? Can't remember where I got the recipe from so here it is Roasted Brussels Sprouts SERVES 4 INGREDIENTS 1 ½ lbs Brussels sprouts ½ lb streaky bacon 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ teaspoon ground black pepper ½ teaspoon salt ½ teaspoon dried sage DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cut the bottom of each Brussels sprout off (about 1/4" or less) and then slice in half lengthwise. Chop bacon into small pieces Toss all ingredients and place in a single layer on a baking dish. Roast for 25 minutes or until Brussels sprouts are slightly browned and tender throughout. Serve hot or cold. I'm looking forward to trying this, hope you find it enjoyable too Merry ChristmasViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?I buy a few stamps each week to spread the cost. I think it's important to keep up contact with friends and family I don't live near enough to see in person.ViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?I make all my own cards, I start in August making my Christmas cards and usually make around 75. Each card is individual, no two are the same, I love sending them to friends I haven't seen for years.ViewDate:

Are you having enough fun?The secret is to have fun where ever you are and whatever you are doing, life can be depressing so having fun is the best medicine. My hubby and I are bikers, we have been all our married life. We are now in our 60's and still enjoy a ride out on 1 of our 6 bikes. It's great fun and we will continue to do it for as long as we are able.ViewDate:
