Would you like a self-driving car?I want to be in control of my car and not leave it to systems which have the capacity to malfunction (not that I don't malfunction occasionally!)ViewDate:

Should The Crown carry a fiction warning?I absolutely agree with you, though I cannot believe that some people think it is an accurate representation. The RF are not going to comment so it is up to the sensible ones of us to keep it in perspective- it is a drama at the end of the day.ViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward? That is a very wide age group to put into lockdown. I understand over 70s and people with asthma/heart/immune problems but it cannot be too generalised. There are a lot of super fit over 50s out there (not me though!)ViewDate:

Would you feel confident taking a holiday flight from 1st July?Definitely not, aeroplanes are a hotbed of germs, no matter how clean they say it is.ViewDate:

Is it time for a woman to play 007?Films are based on a male character from the book and as Darkstar says it is James not Janet. I don't understand why people want to change it.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsWell Brexit is here at last, there is a lot of celebrating going on, but I wonder how we will all feel after the next 12 months change over period when it really kicks in; Fingers crossed but I do worry about it.ViewDate:

Are Harry and Meghan making the right decision?Tricky situation, they need to be happy in their lives but the way they have gone about this is disgraceful. It appears there is a split in the family, which a lot of families have. Such a shame.ViewDate:

Will you be sending Christmas cards this year?I love to receive Christmas cards as I live on my own and it brightens up the day to have them. I will be sending them as I enjoy writing them. As so much contact is on line now I think people have forgotten how lovely it is to receive something through the post which is not a bill!ViewDate:

Is Labour's new WASPI promise credible? How can JC actually fund all the things he is promising - if he gets in he will wipe out the Treasury and increase our taxes. Like all politicians, they give with one hand and take with the other.ViewDate:

Speakers Corner CommentsShould dental treatment be free for retirees? Free medical prescriptions are available. Dental costs are horrendous for someone who has to have a lot of work done and on a pension. Even if the cost was 50% for retirees it would be better than nothing.ViewDate:

Should over 70s be banned from voting on the country's future?Of course over 70's need to vote, the result should reflect the whole of Society and not be restricted to any particular age group. As it is they want to lower the voting age so there needs to be some balance.ViewDate:

Should playing tag in the playground be banned in Primary Schools?Ridiculous, what is wrong with running around,I thought kids needed more physical activity these days not less. So agree with your comments LornaT13.ViewDate:

Was Prince Harry right to bare his soul on television?I think Prince Harry should be able to bare his soul to his family and friends, we all need support. Not sure that he should have bared his soul to the press though, they just take everything to extreme.ViewDate:

Would you like a general election?I don't want an election as have no idea who to vote for anymore. Maybe for the first time ever I won't vote. They are all a bunch of numpties and not representing the people who voted them in. I voted remain initially but just want it to end soon, either way.ViewDate:

Should 'wolf-whistling' be a crime?I cannot believe the mindset of some people. I loved a wolf whistle when I was young, it is neither threatening or abusive. What next, don't dare smile at someone in case they think you are leering at them. Just plain stupid, if you don't like it tell them. Report to the police- no way, what an absolute waste of resources.ViewDate:

Do you buy a daily newspaper or read the news online?I only buy the occasional paper at the weekend, but not a daily paper as it is all online. Far too much minor celebrity rubbish in them and online.ViewDate:

Should smacking children be banned across the UK?I can only comment from experience. I had the odd smack when I was naughty and grew up absolutely fine. My son was given the occasional smack and he is absolutely fine. My grandchildren who are not smacked are noisy and not so well mannered. Who is right, Who knows! A smack won't hurt, hitting a child is different.ViewDate:

Would you be happy if music were banned from cars?I tend to be on my own in the car most of the time so I would really be unhappy if music were banned. I listen to the radio and cd's all the time. However there should be volume maximum as some people go around with their music blaring, and we don't all like the same music. Problem is this would be very difficult to control.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified?Yodama, no of course I don't have personal experience, in the same way that no-one else on here probably has any experience of it either. It is just my opinion that is all.ViewDate:

Should seagulls be culled?Absolutely. Try eating a pasty or ice cream outside in St Ives, Cornwall! They are an absolute nuisance, scavengers looking for easy pickings and going further in land since the decline of fishing stock. It is surprising how big they are as well when they land on you trying to take your food.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified?I am a huge fan of Prince Harry but do feel he has gone slightly off track since his marriage. They can't have it all ways. Yes they are a young couple and have lessons to learn but it appears they are not learning them.ViewDate:

Is July too soon for shops to be stocking Christmas products? When I was a child in the 60's we did not think about Christmas until December, this made it special and exciting. We did not spend the amount of money on presents then either. Commercialism has spoiled a lot of the Christmas fun by putting pressure on parents to spend far too much on their children these days. Always has to be more, bigger, better than last year. Something has to give.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to use Alexa to search the NHS website to answer your health questions?Absolutely not, if it is something minor, use common sense, for anything else see a doctor. Alexa can only provide pre programmed info and does not have access to my health history.ViewDate:

Could you give up using wet wipes?I could easily live without them, but it is the way they are disposed of which is the problem. If they are flushed down the toilet they will cause harm, as will cotton wool buds. We have become a use it and throw away society and there is so much waste everywhere. I try to do my bit but still fall short at times!ViewDate:

Is automation a good thing?I don't agree with a lot of automation, it is handy in some cases though. Nothing worse than phone automation, press 1, press 2, press 3 and still get to the wrong person and have to be passed around!ViewDate:

Do you have trouble sleeping?I just can't switch off when I go to bed. I was reading this morning at 3 am for an hour, then went back to sleep for a couple more hours. I long for a 7 hour sleep, it would be heaven. Have just bought a new pillow to see if that helps.ViewDate:

Have motorists forgotten their manners?I think a lot of it is frustration, with our all too busy roads. I think its patience that has been lost, and that causes the bad manners.ViewDate:

Should there be a specified age to retake your practical driving test?As I deal with motor claims I speak to a lot of people who are involved in accidents, and see the results. Believe me, it is not all about age. There are some sharp elderly drivers out there and a lot of risk taking middle aged drivers! Another issue is people in old age having these powerful large cars which they cannot control. But I feel there should be some kind of regulation, not necessarily a driving test but an assessment and advisement if the driver is ok to be driving at 70 and every 5 years after, just having to send in a form meaningless and has no value.ViewDate:

Did you put off retirement due to money worries?I am not quite there yet but my mortgage is until I am 70 so will have no chance of retiring at the correct age 66, in a few years time. I do worry that I will still be able to do my job to the same standard though. There are some lucky retirees with huge pensions and have a good standard of living but unfortunately most of us are not in that position.
