Isis - what are your views? You really CAN'T deal with all Muslims as if they belong to ISIS! That's like treating everyone from Eire as if they were Provisional IRA gunmen We should be asking ourselves WHY these young men who have lived here all their lives feel so angry that they turn against our society. The real reasons might mean that we actually had to change things about ourselves. You don't say what you had in mind to 'deal with them' or who exactly you mean by 'them'. It's worth remembering that most vicious regimes (Nazi, Communist etc) who attack their own citizens for spurious crimes, fall in the end. Do you want that to happen to us?ViewDate:

Victoria WoodYou are upset by the deaths you mention because of the experiences they gave you (presumably you enjoyed them) and of course because of what you projected into them of yourself, Victoria Wood, for instance seemed to understand how it was to be us. It's one of the problems of getting older.... so many important people (personal friends and family as well as the celebrities) die and are lost to us. But at least we had them once and still have our memories!ViewDate:

Immigration - what are your views? There is a huge movement of populations just starting. This has happened many times throughout history and when it has occurred it has been unstoppable. Climate change will submerge Bangladesh for instance and that's a very poor and highly populated country. What do you think is going to happen to them? Since it is the creation of the good life that we lead that has caused this problelm, we have a huge responsibility to assist those suffering from it. The 'Syrians aren't coming here' approach just doesn't get it! We are going to need all our skills and rational thinkiing to deal with what is inevitably going to happen in the coming years. We have to plan for the fact that our grandchildren are going to live this nightmare. ONLY successful international co-operation has a faint chance of steering us away from the worst outcome.ViewDate:

Immigration - what are your views?Foodbanks are NOT caused by immigrants! They are the result of benefits agencies having TARGETS for 'sanctioning' the poor and illiterate (online only or expensive telephone access to Benefits Agencies not available if you are very short of money), the sick (can be 'sanctioned' if attending hospital or even in-patient)etc etc. All the econmoic ills in this country are still the result of the financial crash which is still being dealt with unintelligently by politicians who are prejudiced against public services.ViewDate:

NHS Student BursariesLike so many things the Government is doing at the moment, this is an ill thought out doctrinaire policy.. We will of course end up with ever fewer nurses and will have to steal them from developing countries as we are already doing. Really praiseworthy and something to make us proud (i don't think!)ViewDate:

Explanation, why would you run away and not stay and help?I don't think that's really fair. Firstly as far as I can see in Syria there is an anarchic maelstrom of competing fanatics fighting each other, with ISIS, Assad, Iran, Russia, Hamas and Hezbollah all joining in. If you are a sensible civilised person who like most of us, just wants to live a normal comfortable life and your town is reduced to rubble, your job and money disappears and your life and that of your family is threatened with death, destruction or starvation, and you DON'T want to join any of the above rabble, what would any of us do but leave? You would of course only leave until it was safe to go back! Who wants to be an exile ? -
