Is it ever ok to buy an item of clothing, leave the price tag on, wear it once and return it?I saw this on GMTV this morning and the presenters were also smirking as if they did it as well. I have a neice who spends most of her time buying clothes photographing herself in them sending it to friends and then sending the clothes back. It all seems a bit pointless to me.ViewDate:

Are you particular about loading your dishwasher? The ONLY way to load a dishwasher is MY way. When my adult children come round I go mad as it looks like the dishwasher has been loaded by a troop of Baboons. It has to be done properly and in order or else!ViewDate:

Do you think money skills should be taught in school? It is a key life skill. I am surprised it is not already.ViewDate:

Should menopause be classed as a disability?About time ! If men had the menopause this law would have been in force many many years ago. I had uncomfortable days when I used to work and unfortunately had to just grin and bear it. A bit like life in those days-just get on with life and don't complain. Well this is a good law and I am glad it is in force. It shows what a civilized country the UK is.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to be weighed before boarding a flight?I agree the airlines should increase the size of the seats. I would happily pay a few pounds more for wider seats.ViewDate:

Would you be happy to be weighed before boarding a flight?I have to say I would not be happy with the other passengers knowing my personal weight. It is a bit private especially for those of us with a few extra pounds.ViewDate:

Do you have access to an NHS Dentist?Dentistry in the UK is an outrage. It was always on the NHS when I was younger and seems to have progressively worsened in the past few decades. I do think this is an outrage as the population needs to be fit and healthy and this starts with healthy teeth and gums. Time for a change in the government I think and back to the old NHS days even if taxs need to increase.ViewDate:

Is it right to consider cutting postal deliveries to three days a week?I think the writing was always on the wall for this as everybody emails everything so we get hardly any post at all now.ViewDate:

Do you bank online? We have been banking online for years. It used to be with IF.com but they stopped it for some reason and now we are with First Direct who are beyond excellent. they actually pick up the phone when you ring them after about 30 seconds.ViewDate:

Is there now too much information for expectant mothers to evaluate?Yes Yes Yes...for 10,000 years babies have been born and raised without technology. The situation now according to my daughters is totally over the top.ViewDate:

Should ex-Post Office boss lose her CBE or hand it back voluntarily? She should do the honourable thing and hand it back immediately.ViewDate:

Should there be an age cap for monarchs?Charles and Camilla should do a couple more years and then hand over to William and Kate. We need some new royals running the UK.ViewDate:

Should motorists be fined for parking on the pavement? You are so right Herbs. If you live in a mansion you do not have to park on the pavement. Not many of us are that fortunate so its another tax to clobber the poor.ViewDate:

Should motorists be fined for parking on the pavement? It sounds like another wheeze to collect money from us poor motorists.ViewDate:

Have you adopted a ‘life is too short’ attitude? To be honest life is so busy with working, kids and grandchildren I do not have a minute to think about life-it is what it is and we just get on with it.ViewDate:

Would you consider eating insects as an alternative source of protein?I would rather be a total veggie...I am near that now anyway with the cost of meat.ViewDate:

Do your Royal Mail deliveries currently meet your expectations? We don't send anything by post anymore so I don't expect to receive anything. The postie comes about 4 x a week which is fine for us.ViewDate:

Will you be pumpkin carving and buying Halloween treats?Pumpkin carving is actually quite a skill. I should know we have been doing it for half a century.ViewDate:

Should ultra-processed foods be labelled ‘addictive’?Yes I think they should if only to help people who may be addicted to them. We eat hardly any ultra-processed foods. they are too expensive for a start. Best to stick to good old vegetables, fruit if you need a snack and wholesome foods.ViewDate:

Do you make your bed as soon as you get out of it?I make our bed as soon as we get up. It would drive me mad to see an unmade bed in the day.ViewDate:

Do you support the delay to the 2030 ban on sales of new petrol and diesel cars?Honestly, this government could not run a bath let alone a country. What total idiocy. The government should be surging ahead with "green" initiatives not changing its mind over such strategic decisions. It makes the UK look like its unstable. If you were a major car company would you invest here? Now Labour have said they will reinstate the 2030 deadline-groan-it is pathetic.ViewDate:

Do you think that the speed limit should be reduced to 20mph on all urban roads?I would call it the nanny state rather than a fascist state...ViewDate:
19th Sep 2023MrsPat commented on:
Do you think that the speed limit should be reduced to 20mph on all urban roads?I totally agree-slower speeds mean fewer injuries. The Welsh government are saying this will save 10 lives a year. That has got to be positive..nobody is in that much of a hurry apart from the police and ambulance serves.ViewDate:
19th Sep 2023MrsPat commented on:
Do you think that the speed limit should be reduced to 20mph on all urban roads?I agree but to do that the roads need to be totally upgraded. Our city's roads are a joke. Too many cars and roads built 100 years ago....no progress here in the UK we just keep going in reverse.ViewDate:
19th Sep 2023MrsPat commented on:
Do you think that the speed limit should be reduced to 20mph on all urban roads? In most of our cities, a horse 150 years ago went faster than the traffic does today so I see no issue at all with this. A sensible decision for once.ViewDate:

Do you think XL Bully dogs should be banned?I think you are right they are just status symbols. Do we allow thugs to go round with guns or swords? No. Then ban these dogs.ViewDate:

Will you return to Ramsay Street to watch the reboot Australian soap - Neighbours?I used to love neighbours years ago when it started. I watched it with my children and although I have never been to Australia it seemed such a lovely sunny place and I always enjoyed the plots.ViewDate:

Do you own an electric car?I just read that Toyota have a new e-car that does not have a lithium battery and only takes 15 minutes to charge so I do think there will be dramatic developments in e -cars in the next few years for the better.ViewDate:

Shoplifting on the Rise: Should We Report It or Ignore It?With cameras etc all over stores nowdays you would assume that it is difficult for people to get away with shop lifting. Most clothes stores seem to have tags on expensive items so I presume this must stop a lot of pilfering.ViewDate:

Shoplifting on the Rise: Should We Report It or Ignore It?I have seen this in my local Boots as well and as you say Marley it is a sad reflection of the times. I also see many stores with the wine and champagne behind the counter as they are worried people will just steal them.ViewDate:

Do you support the new expansion of the ULEZ in London? You are right it makes no sense around Heathrow where the pollution due to aeroplanes will far outweigh any ULEZ benefits.ViewDate:

Do you support the new expansion of the ULEZ in London? In theory, it is a sound idea. The issue I have is the poorest people are most disadvantaged by it. The mayor should reimburse them.ViewDate:

Do you still use your cookbooks or have you shifted to online recipes?I have lots of old cookery books but hardly use them in fact I keep thinking of putting them in the recycle. I have been using the same recipes for years and funnily enough I get new ideas from my kids who get them off the internet and social media.ViewDate:

Do you ask guests to take their shoes off when they come into your home?In these days of carpets everywhere I think people expect you to take your shoes off in their house. I take my slippers when visiting friends houses and they do the same here.ViewDate:

Should we consider limiting children's smartphone use time?Whenever my grandchildren want their ipads for their games they are given them. I have to be careful what I say but the kids would be far better playing outside like we used to in the fresh air and getting exercise. -
