Do you agree with the TV licence changes for over-75s?Although some pensioners are not on pension credit they do not have much more income than the qualifying amount. I don't think that the cut off point should be decided by Pension Credit Perhaps an income over £18K may be a better cut off point. Also a lesser amount of Licence Fee for Pensioners maybe half the full amount. I have just read some other comments regarding the BBC. The licence is for receiving wireless air signals. The money raised helps pay for the BBC to make programmes and provide advert free entertainment. If you have Television in your home you are liable to pay the fee no matter what programmes you prefer to watch.ViewDate:

Should all pensioners over 75 be entitled to a free TV licence?I am 80 and as I have worked most of my life and have two private pensions and two small pensions from my late husband all of them do not amount to very much. Along with my state pension I would qualify for pension credit but as I have inherited a little cash combined with savings I am just above the limit for receiving any assistance and have to pay the full amount for specs, teeth etc. I think that the Television licence should continue to be free but if a fee is introduced it should be £52.00. Per year. This would help the BBC without draining the finances of pensioners like me.ViewDate:

Has Theresa May got the right financial balance for pensioners? My opinion is that we have already contributed to NHS for approximately 40 years and therefore have made a considerable contribution towards care if necessary in our later life. The current younger working population should contribute more towards care for the elderly. I know this will not be accepted but we all hope to grow old without our assets being confiscated by wealthy politicians who have no conception of the sacrifices that were made by the majority of us to accumulate what little assets we have. To see them being taken from us when we are unable to replace them brings a deep feeling of insecurity and possibly depression.ViewDate:
