Are slugs welcome in your garden?Hedgehogs will only eat slugs as a last resort - they carry parasites which give the hedgehogs lungworm and fluke, resulting in an agonising death. If you have hedgehogs, you would be helping them enormously by putting out a dish of kitten food each night. https://twitter.com/HedgehogCabin/status/1508809353012424724?s=20&t=-ZOj-_roy6yOppDmmHMnzgViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?There is a vast difference between the BLM organisation and the BLM movement., it is a mistake to think they are the same. Most of the people marching for human rights have no affiliation with the organisation.ViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?Considering that the Irish were subjugated by English forces, and many were run off their lands and were very much oppressed, that isn't far from the truth. Aren't you old enough to remember signs saying 'No Blacks, no Irish, no dogs'?ViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?What are you talking about? Slavery was abolished in England in 1834, Albert Docks didn't open till 1846. Even if it was built by slaves, with money from slavery, there is a massive difference between statues elevating and honouring slave traders and the buildings associated with them. Great Britain is England, Scotland and Wales combined, if you don't like being British, consider moving somewhere else.ViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?Do you mean 'being'? Rather ironic that your complaint is written so poorly. I assume you mean you should be free to say whatever you wish - well, you are! If someone else has a different opinion and argues with you, they are exercising THEIR freedom of speech. Or is freedom only extended to those who agree with you?ViewDate:

Did Prince Andrew's Newsnight interview make his predicament better or worse? How do the British tax payers pay him? The Sovereign Grant (a fraction of the amount the Crown Estate pays INTO the Treasury) is paid directly to the Queen for specific purposes. She supports her family when doing work for her, the country, Commonwealth and charities from her own PRIVATE tax paid money from the Duchy of Lancaster. Last year the Crown Estate and taxes paid by the Queen and Charles amounted to over £350 million. The Sovereign Grant was £82.2 million. Pretty good value!ViewDate:

Did Prince Andrew's Newsnight interview make his predicament better or worse? All that was before the Civil List was abolished. Even then, He did not directly receive money from the tax payer. The last British monarch to receive Civil List payments was Elizabeth II. The Civil List for her reign lasted from her accession in 1952 until its abolition in 2012. During this period the Queen, as head of state, used the Civil List to defray some of the official expenditure of the monarchy. Only the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen Mother ever received direct funding from the Civil List.[4] The Prince of Wales and his immediate family (the Duchess of Cornwall, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince Harry) received their income from the Duchy of Cornwall. The state duties and staff of other members of the Royal Family were funded from a parliamentary annuity, the amount of which was fully refunded by the Queen to the treasury.[5] The Queen's consort (Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh) received £359,000 per year.[6] The Queen was permitted to claim these amounts as a deduction against her gross income from personal investments and other sources—the net amount, after deductions, was subject to normal income tax.ViewDate:

Did Prince Andrew's Newsnight interview make his predicament better or worse? So inviting a paedophile into a Royal palace is 'behaving Royal' as long as you keep quiet about it? There have been several scandals involving members of the Royal family, but this is on a different level, it is alleged illegal. Note he never uttered a word of sympathy to the trafficked girls, he was only concerned about himself. I don't feel sorry for the Queen at all, she should not have indulged him so much and for so long, appearing all smiles on the way to church beside him when the scandal was at its peak was foolish at best!ViewDate:

Would you like a general election? They are NOT paid to represent their constituents if they believe it to be harmful to the country. His second duty is to his constituents, of whom he is the representative but not the delegate. Burke's famous declaration on this subject is well known. It is only in the third place that his duty to party organization or programme takes rank. All these three loyalties should be observed, but there in no doubt of the order in which they stand under any healthy manifestation of democracy.' Was Prince Harry right to bare his soul on television?I think you will find that the movement in mental health, promoted by both Harry and William, is that everyone, including 'ordinary people' like you CAN and SHOULD talk about their worries and feelings. Their wealth does not control hormones, illnesses or emotions, envy should not preclude compassion.ViewDate:

Was Prince Harry right to bare his soul on television? It must be very difficult to ignore the constant threats of death and violence towards Harry (4 people jailed already), Meghan and even Archie. The public have no idea of the number, style and credibility of threats made, but doubtless the DDoS must be made aware of them. In the same vein, they must be informed when the media are acting unlawfully, e.g. the Mail on Sunday publishing a very private letter, so that they can decide what course of action to take. I'm quite sure they avoid reading as much as possible, Meghan has referred to it as noise that she avoids, but there are limits.ViewDate:

Was Prince Harry right to bare his soul on television? They don't receive any money from the state, their public, private and charitable activities are funded by the private income from the Duchy of Cornwall, the taxpayers do not contribute to them in any way. The money to renovate Frogmore Cottage (which is not 'their' house as it does not belong to them, they rent it from the Crown Estate) was already earmarked in the rolling programme of maintenance that the Crown Estate are obliged to make on all their historic properties. It would have been spent whether Harry and Meghan moved in or not. Envy should not stop compassion.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? You do know there are lots of very rich families with huge amounts of land and properties who do nothing for the country? You will have a really hard time proving that land owned in 1337 was obtained from 'public money'. Look up the Duke of Westminster or Earl Cadogen, they are waaaay richer than the Royal family, yet their fortunes come from property. Indeed the Queen has dropped off the list of top 300 richest people.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? It simply is not true that a lot of their staff have resigned. They made some interim appointments as they became established, e.g. Samantha Cohen had worked with the Royal Family for 17 years, and had intended retiring, but was asked to work with the Sussexes for 6 months to 'train' Meghan in the ways of Royalty and the Commonwealth. They began meetings shortly after the engagements, and Samantha stayed till after Archie was born - a long 6 months! As Samantha was present at the launch of the Smartworks clothing collections on September 12th, it might be fair to say that the relationship has not soured. Other temporary appointments have come to a natural end as Meghan has become aware of what is needed to help her do her job. It is worth noting that Dickie Arbiter, himself a long standing member of staff, has noted that working for the RF is extremely intense and burn out happens frequently. It is also used as a stepping stone, as it looks very good on a CV. By the way, the papers were full of the exact same stories of staff leaving in droves for William and Catherine. As you say, don't believe anything in the tabloids.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? That's interesting, I have never heard Meghan speak, let alone preach' about sustainability as her passions lie firmly with women's rights and empowerment. Harry certainly has spoken about it, I don't know why you need to use the negatively emotive word preach. However, Charles has been talking about it for decades, William has followed suit, and they both frequently fly privately, as I pointed out in my first reply to you. As to the safety aspect, you may feel safe on standard flights, but then you haven't been pilloried daily for 3 years in the media, nor I suspect have you received countless death threats, or had envelopes containing white powder sent to you. Men have been imprisoned for viable threats against Harry for tainting the Royal blood line! You have no idea of the number or severity of threats received, so please don't comment on them. I trust Harry and their Protection Officers to make the best decisions to keep the family safe.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? That upsets me too, Buckingham Palace can speak out to deny Andrew was inappropriate, that Catherine had Botox or hair extensions, but not a word to protest the vile racist bashing every day on Meghan. Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? They are funded by private tax paid income from the Duchy of Cornwall, established in 1337 to finance the heir to the throne. Charles has worked very hard developing the Duchy, and its revenue finances him and Camilla, William and Catherine, and Harry and Meghan. Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? So we keep being told, so why the intense interest from the Press? The Mail online has a tab just for Meghan, no other Royal, just her. One day while she was on maternity leave, there were 64 articles posted about her in the British Press. 64, and she wasn’t even working! Harry May be 6th in line, but he and his wife generate more column inches than all the other Royals put together, 99% of it negative.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? All publicly paid employees 5.8 million, e.g. teachers, police officers, armed forces, politicians) are entitled to a private life. I was a teacher wholly paid by the tax payer, nobody ever needed to know what colour wallpaper I had, or the name of my children’s godparents. When William and Catherine announced they wanted privacy for George, they were lauded, this was hailed as the monarchy moving into a modern age. And yet Archie, who does not have a royal title, seems fair game. I do understand her friends flocking to her defence as the attacks have been relentless and threatening.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? The reports of staff resignations have been greatly exaggerated by the Press. They appointed temporary staff while they established their household, so the ‘resignations’ were actually just the natural end of a fixed term of employment. Also it is worth remembering that many staff leave Royal employment after a relatively short time as the work is very intense and not well paid, but looks good on a CV. William and Catherine had exactly the same press reports about staff leaving in their early days.ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? Please could you explain how she is ‘needy’? She has been doing humanitarian work for years before meeting Harry, and it seems to me she has slotted into this completely strange Royal way of life really well. Could I also point out that all the private and public work of Charles and Camilla, William and Catherine, and Harry and Meghan are paid for from the private income (tax paid!) from the Duchy of Cornwall, which was established in 1337 for exactly that purpose?ViewDate:

Don’t forget how hard they work for their charities and causes, Harry has founded Sentebale, Invictus and now Travalyst alongside many other passions of his, while Meghan in her first year in the Royal Family, mostly while pregnant and on maternity leave has launched the Hubb cookbook, guest edited a massively successful Vogue magazine, and collected designers and retailers together to provide a clothing collection for her charity Smartworks. Their charities have seen an enormous boost and are very grateful!ViewDate:

Are you fed up with the media hounding Harry and Meghan or do you think it is justified? Can I ask in what way do you feel they are ‘having it both ways’? If it’s the private jet, may I remind you that William flew privately to a conference on climate change in Davos, he flew privately to Mustique for his holiday, and frequently flies by helicopter between his two lavish houses. If he is allowed because he is the heir, what about Andrew who flew privately to and from Scotland, then immediately to and from Spain. Why is OK for other Royals, but not Harry and Meghan?ViewDate:
