Is a bad deal better than remaining in the European Union?I voted remain. I want Britain to stay in the EU. However Britain is suffering everyday from the uncertainty surrounding Brexit. Companys are making decisions that are all against the interests of Britain as they put in place contingency plans to protect themselves from the damage that Brexit will do to their Business.ViewDate:

Billy Graham Has Died - [DELETED_MEMBER]I saw him twice. Once live at a concert hall in Leicester and on a second occasion on a huge screen in another venue in the same city perhaps beamed from London. I think this was in the 60’s or 70’s Sorry for being vague but at 73 the memory......... I was not religious more an atheist but had a interest in the power of speech. He was a powerful speaker and created an electric atmosphere with words alone. However still to this day do I remember the sound of feet on the steps of many hundreds of people answering the call to come down. Billy Graham saying don’t worry we will wait, the buses will wait no one will leave you. Spine tingling.ViewDate:

BrexitSo phase one negotiations are complete and we all move on to phase 2. It looks like the transition period will be discussed in January 2018 and the trade talks will start at the end of March 2018. The EU have published guidelines/wish list which should be read by all who have an interest in Brexit. It is 9 paragraphs over 4 pages so an easy read. This is the link to it. http://consilium.europa.eu/media/32236/15-euco-art50-guidelines-en.pdf The BBC have their own analysis here. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-42367532 We know that Britains head negotiater David Davis wants a Canadian plus, plus, plus trade deal. I am looking forward to that being put down on paper by March.ViewDate:

BrexitI voted remain. I don't except the result and hope that Brexit will not happen. Yes I know that is very unlikely. The negotiations start in June a few days after the election. We now (think) we know that the negotiations will be in two phases. 1) The Divorce 2) Britains new relationship with the EU. Has anyone thoughts on how long this will take and what will be on the agenda for phase 1) I believe Mr Barnier from the EU has said 1) EU and UK citizens rights 2) Irish Border 3) Financial settlement. There are many other things to discuss.ViewDate:

RetirementI retired over 20 years ago. I had a high pressure job and no hobbys. In retirement I have never been bored. I am fitter and healthier than I was. My biggest problem was giving myself permission to do little or nothing. I had difficult in not having a full diary. Slowly I relaxed. Retirement is the best job I have ever had.ViewDate:

Do you want another EU Referendum?Hello Yodama, Well we know more because we know it is not very simple to leave. There will lots of bad things not just good things. I am not going to list the bad things as many are the reverse side of the good things. Just one....immigrants from the EU, who is going to do all these low paid (minimum wage) jobs such as waiting on tables and sorting sizes of potatoes. No political part are talking about the Brexit benefits. Have you heard ANYTHING recently about "the Brexit bounce" "the Brexit dividends" if you have let me know. Why is it difficult, it is going to be very difficult and expensive. For example that there are two phases in the negotiations. The divorce The new relationship with the EU. Do you even know what the agenda is for Phase 1) well the 27 does know the first three things on that agenda. All to be done and dusted by March 2019 It's not easy pushing back against Brexit but we are walking towards a cliff and someone has to shout "the king has no cloths"ViewDate:

Do you want another EU Referendum? Now we know more it is clear we should not leave the EU. It is not too late to stop it. Except the other 27 may not want to let us change our mind without some deal.ViewDate:

Do you want another EU Referendum? In June 2016 we thought we understood what leaving the EU meant. Eleven months on we now know that leaving the EU is very bad for all of Britain. Don't give up. You voted remain because you believed that was right.ViewDate:

Do you want another EU Referendum?I don't agree that we can not stop Brexit. Wether the other 27 members would want to let us change our mind might actually be the issue. I live in one of the 27 and frankly Brexit is old news and everyone is getting on with the future without Britain. In fact it is not old news, it is more no news as it is hardly mentioned in the media outside of Britain.ViewDate:

Do you want another EU Referendum? It is wrong to insult your decision. However you should see that ten months on from the referendum you and I know a lot more about the issue and I certainly believe Brexit is wrong. It is not too late to stop it.ViewDate:

Do you want another EU Referendum?Brexit is a terrible idea. It will damage Britain for many years. The original referendum was based n incomplete knowledge of the EU and the benefits of being a member. Since then people are much better informed of the situation and the negative impact Brexit will have on Britain.
