Ski Trips for the Older SkierTwo questions: - do you have a link to the Over Sixties Ski Club - I can't find it? Do you have difficulty getting insurance for skiing as an over 60?ViewDate:

Ski Trips for the Older SkierThat's a great idea - going with an over 60s group. I'm lucky I'm living in the French Alps at the moment. Went out this morning to a new place called Notre Dame de Bellecombe. It's not that easy to get going from there despite being a pretty village. Better to start from Les Saisies or from Praz sur Arly.ViewDate:

Hi I’m from Ontario CANADAHi Doxiegal. I'm happy to chat! It's really hard when you start out to start talking. Last year I made myself a challenge - talk to a stranger a day, every day for 30 days. Actually it worked very well and after some months I can know say that I've made 2 real friends - one who lives close by to me and another who I just email having met on a plane. It's really fun once you pluck up the courage to open your mouth and get over your own fears. Loneliness is a really big problem, especially for older people. So keep chatting and keep practising. Best wishes RosemaryViewDate:

Suffer with winter blues or SAD? These simple steps could make a real differenceSo often people in the more northerly parts of the world suffer from SAD because of the lack of sunshine. So vitamin D is particularly important. Plus just going out of doors can help - even in winter - because the exercise is good for you, A timely reminder from Silversurfers as the nights draw in.ViewDate:

5 Foods for DigestionI'd add in kefir. It's like yoghurt but has different bugs. It's used routinely in Central and Eastern Europe for digestion. It tastes a bit funny when you first try it but it's quite like yoghurt so you get used to it. You can add healthy berries like blueberries if you want to make it a bit sweeter.
