Caught Short

Caught Short

Have you been caught short
You really have to go
No signs anywhere
Just a thick edgerow.
Shall I hold on?
I have to decide
Do I take the risk?
Maybe, loose my pride.

Into the sea, you know what I mean
You know who they are
There always real keen
Straight into the sea
Jump up and down
Here comes a wave
I hope they don’t drown.

Been out for the night
Stay at your friends
Wish I’d gone home
I can’t pretend
Open the door,oh no that’s a cupboard
Should have gone before bed
I knew that I should have.

In the hospital, you need to go
Sharing a toilet
Go with the flow
Don’t think you’ll  make it
How am I going to cope?
You could always have a catheter in
Otherwise there’ll be no hope.

Yes I know that you have been there
The hedges don’t really mind
Not that I promote this
But the sea is very kind
Now my friend I don’t see her anymore
She didn’t understand
Shouldn’t have had so many cupboards
An extra toilet would be grand.

The hospital, well I’m not quite sure
How I will go on
Just queue, Waite and whistle
Caught short, and carry on.
