I Have Painted

I Have Painted

I have painted your body from memory
Every line and sensual curve
How your lips move when speaking
Every word has meaning
As I listen to their music
Some things I can’t get used to
The way you move knocks me off my feet
The sparkle in your eyes when you smile
It shows you in a much different light
How my senses burn with desire
Yes you are painted from memory
In the canvas of my mind
Your beauty splashes bright colours
Making a summer day seem dull
Alive in the images conjured
I’m no artist so it’s not picture perfect
But you are my Mona Lisa
A beautiful vision framed in my imagination
Where you will never fade
Beauty from the soul never does
