My little tribute to our ‘Queen’.

My little tribute to our ‘Queen’.

The rain came down hard,
like the tears of a nation.
Today we heard the sad news,
‘Her Majesty,’ our Queen, had passed on.
She has never left us before,
not in my lifetime, nor in yours.
My tears came as I saw the reels,
of our beloved Monarch’s hard work.
Giving up so much doing her duty.
We have seen her beautiful face,
mirrored at every turn.
Now she rests in peace,
for her work is now done.
Time to join your Philip,
in the clouds by the sun.
