Was it your royal corgis?

Was it your royal corgis?

For seventy years our queen has reigned over us.
She has done it in a dignified way without any fuss.
Was it her beautiful corgis that helped this score,
or the regal horses that served her forevermore?

Shinning black coats stood upright and proud,
at the trooping of the colour they trotted around.
On Epsom Derby Day or Royal Ascot, you saw her delight,
as a favourite would win it gave her a smile and to all in sight.

These moments were rare as she had so many tours,
from Australia to Poland she held the people’s hearts forever more.
I think Prince Philip and her dogs at her side,
were what helped her keep going so far and wide.

So with a big cheer lets, all say –
‘Well Done’ Hip Hip Hooray, in our own special way!
