Yorkshire v Lancashire

I wrote this little ditty
For I live in a big city,
My friend lives near the sea,
With a bee in her bonnet about tea.

For she hails from Lancashire,
And I live in beautiful Yorkshire,
I really like her you see,
Yet we always differ about the tea.

I’ve always said ours is the best,
I don’t even compare it with the rest.
Once she even blamed the water,
But yet no one would support her.

So once again Norma my dear,
This is just for fun, so never fear,
Your red rose is a favourite with me,
So let me have my Yorkshire tea.
