Farewell to Our Queen

Farewell to Our Queen

1926 – 2022

Our beloved Queen Elizabeth has died
The tributes are pouring in.
She served our country and the Commonwealth
From aged 21, when her reign did begin,

Our Queen was a figurehead,
who embraced life and Paddington bear.
She smiled a lot, and had compassion,
but always liked her family near.

Head of state of 15 counties.
Who will also be mourning now.
In 1992 she had an “annus horribilis,”
Yet she never forgot her vow.

70 years she did reign
Dedicating her life to throne and people.
She never regretted or retracted,
For our Queen was always regal.

When her Prince Phillip died
She really missed him dearly.
Always putting on a brave face
and always was serenely

Yes, have loved our beloved Queen,
Who certainly served the people well.
So let us welcome King Charles the Third
As we say to Our Queen Farewell
