Are you a fan of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!?

There’s a mixed-bag of contestants in the jungle this year, and the evictions have begun.

The ITV show can make or break a career, and despite the lack of food and the gruesome tasks, celebrities queue up to compete to become King or Queen of the jungle…

The popular show throws celebrities into the Australian jungle for three weeks and sees them compete in a series of Bushtucker Trials and challenges to win food and, ultimately, public votes.

They are stripped of their luxuries and made to live a basic lifestyle, including a diet of rice and beans.

The launch episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! scored ITV its highest overnight ratings of the year, but still did not manage to surpass BBC One’s Strictly Come Dancing.

The series first aired in 2002, and it’s one of the most popular shows on television and is screened most nights until mid-December and it can either be the highlight or lowlight of the pre-Christmas television menu.

Are you a fan?  Is it a bit like Marmite … do you love it or hate it? Have you been watching this series? Who would you like to see win? How would you survive the jungle?

Are you a fan of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!?

In past years I've never been interested in watching it but This year I happened to be at a friend's when it was on and I've been watching it ever since. I like Toff as she tries hard at the task was she doesn't want to let anyone down. I dont agree with all this with contestants who can't take part in trials for medical reasons. Rebekah Vardy has a shellfish allergy which ruled her out of certain tasks. If you have allergies you shouldn't be there. Dismayed at the backstabbing and bullying some people gave gone down in my estimation

Used to watch but don't like the way certain "celebs" are kept in. All of these vote in shows should be made to reveal the actual total of votes each person has got

Have not watched it so probably should not be commenting. I just find "Celebrity" programmes are all we seem to get, or American reality trash like The Kardashians, whoever they are. Most of the celebrities I have never heard of so I must be very out of touch nowadays.

I love it and watch it every night with hubby. I’m 69 yrs and recognised all the contestants. Ant and Dec are really funny. Amir Khan is quite a character. I think Toff or Amir will win.

I think this is one of the most disgusting, sad shows on TV. A bunch of celebrity has-beens trying to resurrect their careers, fighting, bitching, crying, and doing disgusting things just to earn food. Worst programme ever after Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother.

I have absolutely no interest in watching celebrities eat grubs, or shower in a jungle? More to the point I cannot understand why others do?
I want to watch entertainment, not infighting and jungle trials....leaves me cold...just turn off for the nights it is on...dump it for goodness sakes!

I really enjoy watching and sincerely hope our lovely Toff wins ...You do seem to get into a rut and lots of these programmes are so repetitive and eventually you get fed up with the same old programmes..X Factor ,BGT, Celebrity Jungle,Strictly,Ice Skating ,BB they just go on and then the Viewers get fed up and so the viewing figures drop ...they get such massive fees why not let the public have a go for a change.

This year seems more 'subdued' than of previous years. Becky Vardy was a bit of a contender but she obviously didnt cause any controversy otherwise she would still be in. No Americans this year or any volumptuous models???? I would love to see a series where they maybe get all the winners back in so crown the ultimate champion of champions. That would be fun. I watch it every year though and still enjoy even if it is just for Ant & Decs infectious humour!

It is just so much fun. Some of the eating and drinking concoctions are appealing, but many have taken them with no side effects, so fine. Great fun. Ant & Dec brilliant

Silliest show on TV.. Who in their tight mind would want to watch this disgusting show. This is not entertainment. Why watch this when you can watch war films showing maltreatment and torture of prisoners for real.. It is an excuse to debase people for the enjoyment of others. It should be taken off air.

Love the show and have watched every one since it started years ago .
If you watch the first episode you cant help to watch all the series . They are a mixed bag this year and I think they are all adding something different to the show and its good to see there are no moaners and whingers . My money is on Tof she has shown what a decent person she is with last nights trial with the snakes so she could bring back a meal for everyone . I dont think any one else in camp could have endured that .

Ant & Dec are a couple of buggers, great fun, it annoys me greatly that contestant don't carry out tasks due to medical reasons, if it's because they are to old then they shouldn't be on it

I love it - it starts the countdown to Christmas for me. Ant and Dec are brilliant and they laugh so much at the celebrities it has me in stitches. I know its a load of crap really, but it's easy entertaining watching and when the hunger and bickering starts to kick in the guards com down and true colours appear. This year I'm hoping Toff wins, she seems just lovely - although initial impressions was she's a posh privileged girl from Chelsea. Strawberrygate was brilliant - thank you Amir and Iain! - I've always wondered why nobody had done that to date.

I almost wet myself watching Amhir screaming like a possessed demon after his first trial.
He is a spoiled rotten brat and to chicken to put himself forward for trials.
Quite happy to send the smallest female in the team to face snakes and heights.
The man is a coward and why is he in there, doesn't even know where his wife and child are?

A complete waste of viewing time in my opinion. A chance for would be’s, never had’s, or I desperately need to revive my flagging career z listers, to get themselves noticed, for all the wrong reasons. As for Ant and Dec.....Morecambe and Wise they ain’t, and never will be! Absolute drivel, which has me reaching for the remote as soon as the previous programme has finished.

I was a fan until the contestants for this year were selected . Apart from the boxer and the girl from Corrie I didn't know any of them ( I'm not a football fan ) . I watched the first programme but have not bothered since . Along with the Z list celebs the format has become stale and slightly predictable.
Ant and Dec were always the best bit of the show but unless they can attract celebs of more interest it is unlikely I will go back to watching .

I love seeing the mix of people who normally would never spend time with each other. I love to see the person - and not the persona we assumed they were. This year I am loving it because of how strong the women are showing themselves to be; and how wimpish some of the men are. I am so enjoying seeing the younger generation showing an interest in what Stanley has to say - and them guiding him into the 21st century. A really good show made even better with the interaction of Ant and Dec.

The programme would be improved if there were more real celebrities and fewer unknown but egotistical, 'wannabe' fame seekers. Even then, who cares what their preferences/abilities are in such contrived and abnormal circumstances? I have watched the programme, but not for some time!

It’s getting very difficult to sift through celebrities now but I think they’ve got to be sensible as lovely as he is Stanley as got to go Rebecca hasn’t made a move in days she has got to go and Ian spent too much time talking to the camera he should be the first one out

Typical of so much on TV now. So-called celebs doing anything for money or notoriety. TV is endless soaps with ridiculous story lines, football, quizzes and sensationalism. Complete turn off. Still, we have the Christmas schedule to look forward to. Usual annual non-event.

I completely agree with you, 'productofthe 40s', apart from your comment about SCD. This programme follows the hard work put in and progress made by people, many of whom have never tried dancing before. I thoroughly enjoy watching the couples and listening to comments made by judges who actually know what they're talking about. I'm also looking forward to the return of 'Dancing on Ice' for the same reason. You can certainly consign the other shows mentioned to the bin, though!

I don't find it 'entertaining' to watch people endure trials of being covered with insects and so obviously screaming and stressing. Just watching that adds to my stress and I am trying to minimise the stress levels not amplify them! Watched episode 1 where they arrived in the jungle. Turned off part way through episode 2 on the first bush tucker trial. Not enjoyable.

I have enjoyed the show the past couple of years as everyone gets on however, echoing other comments I did feel the challenge that Dennis and Jamie did in the water tanks showed the crocs and water lizards scrabbling to get out in sheer terror which was completely wrong - maybe they can look at alternatives? Maybe the whole concept with live animals is outdated a bit like zoos?

I have never been a huge fan, although I did use to watch it when there were actual A list celebrities in it. Apart from Boris Johnson's dad and the boxer, I haven't heard of any of them. I used to think it was quite entertaining but now I feel it looks too much like a TV set and not like a real jungle challenge. I also feel sorry for the bugs! Like many of these series I think they have been on too long and we need some fresh programmes. I am surprised at how popular it still seems to be so I guess I must be in the minority?
