As February 14th approaches, stores are brimming with heart-shaped chocolates and greeting cards, while romantic music CDs are prominently featured in television ads.

The anticipation builds as the pressure mounts to express romantic sentiments on Valentine’s Day.

For many, Valentine’s Day elicits mixed emotions. It’s a challenge to sidestep this longstanding tradition, yet how does one choose to observe it? Is it eagerly anticipated, dreaded, or simply disregarded? Do you shower your beloved with affection, view it as overly commercialised and overrated, or dismiss it as solely for the young?
