Sunday Wine!

Sunday Wine

It has become a ritual
Since the very start of time
That people want to relax and chill
With a refreshing glass of wine!

There used to be uncorking
Which made it seemed so right
That uncorking of the bottle
With the pulling with all our might.

So let the soothing liquid pour
In that glass so clear and cool
To welcome all the lunch guests
As they gather in the hall

So let the wine flow freely
As the talking and music starts
And remember sharing bottles
On a Sunday melts cold hearts.

Oh joy! That spikey grape juice
That allows the talk to flow
That sober men would scorn upon
But to us we’re in the know!

So celebrate our glass of wine
With dinner, lunch or tea
And remember that the glass half full
Not empty is the key!
