A natural headache remedy
Peppermint oil is known to naturally relieve mild headache symptoms. To use, dab a few drops into temples, neck and sinuses.
Relieve hot flushes
An old wives’ trick for relieving hot flushes is to mix a few drops of peppermint oil with cold water into a spray bottle, then spritz onto your face and skin to feel some cooling relief.
Stay alert while driving
The scent of fresh peppermint is very vibrant and can help you feel more alert while driving. Try soaking a cotton bud in peppermint oil, then clip to your air vents to help disperse the energising scent of peppermint.
Help bins smell fresh
A few drops of peppermint oil placed at the bottom of a of your garbage can will help keep your bin smelling fresh.
Deter ants and other pests
Ants, spiders and other small pests don’t like the smell of peppermint, making them a perfect natural deterrent for around the home. Soak a cotton ball in peppermint oil, then rub around areas where pests are entering such as doors and windowsills. The peppermint oil will act as a natural barrier.
