Grab Your Fenetic Sprint for Active Aging Week
Come along for the ride, get involved in Active Aging Week this September by cycling to your heart’s content…
From 25th September to 1st October 2016, folk over 50 will set out to prove that you can live life to the full no matter your age or health conditions. Why don’t you get involved with Active Aging Week and remind yourself what you’re made of?
There’s no need to do anything extreme. In fact, cycling is one of the easiest ways to keep fit – not only is it kinder on your joints than other exercise, but you travel three times faster than walking, allowing you to venture further afield for the same effort as going for a stroll.
Of course, it’s not just your physical health and your heart that you’ll look after here, but getting out and about in the fresh air naturally improves your mental wellbeing and overall happiness – which is everything that Active Aging Week was designed to celebrate and encourage.
If achy knees, exercise induced asthma or general mobility issues brought your cycling career to a screeching halt, the Fenetic Sprint Electric Mountain bike, the latest addition to Fenetic Wellbeing’s wide range of pedal-assisted bikes, has been designed to help you get out and about as though you were years younger.
With it, you can still enjoy the freedom of traditional cycling on what looks like a mountain bike – yet when the going gets tough, simply flick the switch on the handle bars to zip along at 15mph, for up to 30 miles on a single charge. It’s powered by a 250w battery, discreetly tucked away in the rear wheel. And you can chose to have as much or as little help as you like, with it’s easy to use power settings.
It comes bearing a wide-range of sporty features from hydraulic disc brakes, front suspension and alloy pedals to the lightweight aluminium frame and 24-speed Shimano gears that the professional cyclists use.
So perhaps it’s time to dust off your helmet to head out on a two wheel adventure with your family, knowing full well that you could not only keep up with the youngsters, but race them on your pedal-assisted Fenetic bike – no matter your age or fitness.
Let’s make Active Aging Week the start of your happier and healthier life…
