Learn, discuss and discover at the UK’s largest immersive art experience

Frameless Art Talks Programme 2024

Step inside some of the world’s greatest masterpieces with monthly talks from top art historians at Frameless London

The UK’s largest immersive art experience has launched Frameless Art Talks, the perfect cultural day out filled with engaging discussion, jaw-dropping art, and good food from the art-inspired Café Bar.

Each month an esteemed art historian will delve deeper into stories behind the art inside Frameless, with mid-week afternoon 45 minute talks in partnership with ArtscapesUK. Visitors will learn about the fascinating historical context and significance of the art from specialist lecturers, as audiences are taken on an engaging journey through different artistic movements and ideas, before exploring the four main galleries and experiencing some of the reimagined artworks featured within the talks.

The next Frameless Art Talk will take place on 28th February, where you will join art historian Linda Bolton as she uncovers the artistic, social, and intellectual secrets behind the Romanticism movement, focussing on works from some of the most famous Romantic artists of the 19th century including J.M.W. Turner (1775-1851) and Caspar David Friedrich (1774-1840) who used the staggering beauty and unrelenting drama of our natural world to communicate the deepest human emotions.

Linda Bolton is an independent art historian and lecturer as well as the author of several books on 19th and 20th century artists and art movements including Gauguin, Manet, Degas, Warhol, Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism and Pop Art. She is an adjunct professor of Art History for the University of North Carolina’s London Programme, has an MA in Victorian Studies, and delivers courses and lectures for the National Gallery.
