Most on the list to me is mindless tosh. Wolf Hall was the business.

I'm going to be alternative here!

My all time favourite is the TV adaptation of the James Herriot stories.

In the eighties I worked on a farm near Thirsk. Our vets were the Sinclair Wight practice so, in the course of work met them all, except Brian.

For five years our neighbour was a very elderly lady, Mrs. Weatherill. Her husband was Mrs Hall's son.

Talk about a close knit circle!

Favourite programme has all ways been Poldark but the original series. New one is not a patch on the old series apart from the scenery. Line of Duty is just superb.

Line of duty was amazing....only started watching because of a clip on gogglebox, but became hooked and had to go buy the previous series.
Not much like real policing, but it was enthralling, gripping and very watchable.......which can't be said for much TV these days!

'Line of Duty', had me gripped all the way through, absolutely loved it. But to be fair, Call the Midwife was lovely, and a great Sunday evening drama....and it's scheduling signifies the start of a New Year.

Didn't watch the new series of Poldark even tho it starred a fellow Dubliner! Will get it on Catch Up. Loved Downton Abbey which was followed closely by Broadchurch.

So difficult to decide but I had to go for Downton abbey. I also love Broadchurch, in the line of duty, Casualty and Call the Midwife as well and tried not to miss any of the episodes.
I've not watched Poldark as I never really got into that at the beginning and didn't even watch the original series.

Have chosen Poldark because I lived in Devon/Cornwall for seven years and know some of the beaches well. But loved Happy Valley with Sarah Lancashire.
