Win a pair of tickets for The Knitting & Stitching Show at Alexandra Palace,  London

The Knitting & Stitching Show takes place at Alexandra Palace, London from 6th-9th October 2022, and we’ve got five pairs of tickets worth £37.00 per pair to give away.

Each autumn, the iconic London venue fills with colour, creativity and inspiration as thousands of crafters collect for the UK’s biggest textile art, craft and design event. The Knitting & Stitching Show is the perfect place to learn new skills, and there are hundreds of hands-on workshops to choose from, led by the UK’s top tutors. Workshops are designed for every level of stitcher, from complete beginners to experts, and offer every textile craft imaginable, from goldwork and weaving to knitting and embroidery.

There are Creative Living Theatre sessions, demonstrations and catwalks by TV and social media stitching stars, mindful knitting and crochet in The Knitting Lounge, and a Product Stage showcasing new products.

There’s shopping, of course, with hundreds of specialist craft retailers under one roof, from big-name brands to hand-picked artisan companies. Why not soak up the atmosphere with a glass of fizz at the show’s Prosecco Bar, try something tasty to eat from one of the venue’s many food stands, or bring your own lunch and take a breather in one of the seated picnic areas.

Galleries by internationally acclaimed textile artists and groups are always an inspiring highlight of The Knitting & Stitching Show. This year’s show features exhibitions by Aran Illingworth, Archana Pathak, Maggie Scott, Marcia Bennett-Male, The 62 Group at 60, Vivienne Beaumont and Jess Blaustein, the 2022 winner of The Fine Art Textiles Award, supported by The Open College of the Arts. The Embroiderers’ Guild will be hosting an exhibition of items from its collection and there will be a gallery of competition-winning quilts from this year’s The Festival of Quilts.

The Royal School of Needlework, which is the international Centre of Excellence for the art of hand embroidery, will be celebrating its 150th anniversary year at the show with fun activities around the venue.

Student work selected from Fashion, Textiles and Embroidery final degree shows from colleges and universities across the country will feature in The Knitting & Stitching Show’s Graduate Showcase, in association with The Embroiderers’ Guild. The showcase celebrates emerging needlework talent and provides a platform for the country’s most innovative newly qualified designers.

Free shuttle buses run to the show from Wood Green and Alexandra Palace train stations every 20-30 minutes.
