Sally 🙂
still i did it . Especially after a life of total inactivity. And with the possibility of winning a fit Bit. Would bring me into the 21st century.
Better late than never they say.LOL
and now that i am 70 years of age my body needs every help and information i can get
It would be interesting.
As an Holistic Advisor and Bioptron light and colour, cycloidal and sport massage therapist I am interested in the
Meritene range of shakes and soups with the nutrients they help to provide that contribute to strength and vitality.
Since being back in ten UK I have observed many people I interact with have deficiencies particularly in vitamins B2, B6 & B12, Vitamin D (Especially in Winter contributing to SAD) and many showing signs of Copper deficiency. Many people show theses signs through tiredness,, fatigue inability to concentrate and reduced activity.
As we age - especially women - we also have hormonal changes that play havoc with our endocrine system. Often resulting in reduced activity which then exacerbates the results of losing the estrogen and progesterone which reduced elasticity in our soft tissues...
Often people then reduce their food intake due to reduction in income and this often results in reduced intake of one of the most expensive parts of our diet high quality protein
These lifestyle choices reduce muscle mass and causes a downward spiral in well being and contributes to health challenges.
Having recently sorted out my personal endocrine challenges I have been on a health and well being campaign.... I have decided to use my diverse skills and education to assist others be the best they can as they mature...... so they can share their wisdom and life experiences with others.....
I recently won the E-Bike on the Silver Surfers December Prize Draw - and have been enjoying the delights of getting back on two wheels again... To be able to track my fitness progress would be amazing... Hence I will be setting up a Facebook Community Group - Exploits on an Edge E-Bike - To share my prize with everyone and what it has meant to me personally. Will be uploading soon - Now I have joined the Facebook European On Line Sumit currently being held live from London.
I am in the process of setting up a facebook page to keep people up to date with my travels and journey into the next stage of my life - to encourage others to achieve their potential....
"To resist the frigidity of old age (less of the old).. one must combine the body, the mind, and heart. And to keep these in parallel vigour one must exercise, study and love" Bonstettin
So I would love to win the Fit Bit - to add scientific information to my observations of my travels.
Thinking of calling my page....Exploits on an Edge E-Bike... to which I may be able to add - Facilitated with a Fitbit and meals by Meritene 🙂
Here's hoping....
And if anyone would like to ask my advise.... I work on Koha - which is a New Zealand Maori custom - which can be translated as gift, present, offering, donation or contribution...
Kia Kaha (Forever Strong)

Thinking of calling my page....something like "Peppermint Patty and Snoopy ride again" As I have friends who call me "Sir" and I am renowned for carrying a small bottle of peppermint oil everywhere with me...... and the Edge E Bike.... Named Snoopy -
after the horse my daughter trained to 2** Eventing in New Zealand - At The Limit (AKA Snoopy) - who was Jet black - Just like my Edge Bike:)
Here's hoping....

Have lost around 6st and have another 5/6 to lose. So this would be a massive help.
Maybe, everyone should be given a Fitbit on the NHS to motivate people to exercise more and then it would save the government money in the long run, especially with the rise in obesity in the UK! (Perhaps I should put this idea forward to my local MP)!
