Will you continue wearing a face mask if the measure is scrapped?I hate wearing a mask, but in some circumstances I will continue to do so. I'm fortunate to live in a village and I don't need to commute, or spend time in crowded areas, but there are some places and circumstances when a mask will seem like a good idea.ViewDate:

Will you watch the Sussexes' Oprah interview?Sadly, they are losing sympathy with the constant negativity. I don't doubt Meghan had to face racism in the palace environment, but I think she is not doing herself or Harry any favours. One day Harry will realise what he has given up and will it make him happy?ViewDate:

Should all GP appointments go online?Better communication all round would be a good idea. My surgery, several miles away, had no problem sending me a text telling me not to just turn up at the surgery, but cannot text me details of flu clinics etc, nor reply to emails.ViewDate:

Should all GP appointments go online? It should not be a blanket policy. Sometimes a video call would be quite sufficient and appropriate, but this would not work in every case. How do you examine/diagnose a suspicious lump by video?ViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward? If you haven't already started, use technology to help you. I've just attended a church service on Zoom, as I have every week. It feels as if we are meeting for real every week, as we have the opportunity to interact and chat afterwards. I'm a keen bellringer, so I've started a group to use Ringing room/zoom, as a way of keeping in touch ( If anyone wants to learn the theory without a bell, let me know! ) There are opportunities to do that with people from across the world. I'm also a member of the WI, and we've got a group meeting every week on Zoom, just to keep up. Not everyone is willing to give it a try, but it's never too late. My friend is 91 and has just got her first iPad.ViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward?I'm nearly 79. I live alone in a rural area. I don't go out much, but that's my choice. All the previous hobbies I enjoyed have been stopped by the virus. I want to continue exercising my choice - being aware, careful and intelligent. I don't want to be locked up like an animal.ViewDate:

Are we on a countdown to chaos?Chaotic. People being stupid and endangering themselves and others. No common sense - sitting for hours in a traffic jam in a heatwave isn't my idea of fun, no matter how long we've been restricted for.ViewDate:

Should Dominic Cummings resign? He wasn't elected. He has grabbed power because Boris has allowed it. When a SPAD becomes the story, they usually resign.ViewDate:

Should Dominic Cummings resign? He clearly believes himself to be so far above the rest of us that the rules don't apply. I doubt if he will resign, as he believes himself to be immune. Who looks after the child when they are both working?ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?Agreed. Getting out with the dog is not a health risk. Quite the contrary.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months? We are a small rural church, surrounded by others in similar circumstances. All are in their seventies. Streaming is not a solution in this case.ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?I heard the radio news about this at noon. Reduce social contact by 75% and the extra time will be filled more with family. Mine are in Australia, so that will be interesting. If we are banned from meeting, most of the small local churches will close, thus cutting off another source of support. I'm a bellringer, so that will disappear as well in many churches. We've been advised to suspend serving coffee after services, thus destroying another part of the fellowship most of us rely upon. I'm quite capable of making sensible decisions, being as unwilling to run the risk as anyone of 69, but the idea of being forced to stay at home for months is appalling. I can't see the problem taking my dog to the large open field some miles away and enjoying the fresh air, while shouting greetings to other oldies.. It's different in the town, but this is ridiculous.ViewDate:
