Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament? Here is the link for an article regarding 'Brexit is the ‘will of the British people’ or maybe not if you look at this chart. Interesting reading eh. https://bit.ly/2Ujm9eoViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament?Lionel - I believe you are making an assumption that I'm not 'up to speed' with what has happened in the past! You are wrong. We have Second World War Veterans coming out in support of the EU, saying that leaving would bring instability to the continent. I'll try adding a link to the story. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/eu-referendum-second-world-war-veterans-come-out-against-brexit-a7019646.html 'Four war heroes, including the former head of the military Field Marshal Lord Bramall, have recorded messages of support for the Remain campaign as the Prime Minister prepares to highlight the human cost paid by Britain in bringing peace to Europe. David Cameron will refer to the “serried rows of white headstones” in cemeteries in Europe in his speech on Monday to illustrate the historic ties between the UK and its neighbours. He will say: "Our history teaches us: the stronger we are in our neighbourhood, the stronger we are in the world. "Isolationism has never served this country well. Whenever we turn our back on Europe, sooner or later we come to regret it. We have always had to go back in, and always at much higher cost'.ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament? It doesn't matter who he is Lionel - his quote to me makes sense. Hence I added it. If you don't like it then that doesn't really matter to me.ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament?VeraS - I was actually quoting what was posted by someone else (if you read the post carefully) as I thought they made some good points regarding Brexit. I also added a link to another website article regarding the vote - but it seems to have disappeared. What I put wasn't directed at you personally. You then seem to go on to judge me with some strange claim about me being used to getting my own way? Really? You don't know anything about me. And this isn't about me anyway - lol. How strange!ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament? When anyone mentions the public voted thing - I like to share this with them and also remind them that Brexit was sold on the basis of lies. Many would now - given more info- change their minds on a Peoples Vote and actually want to stay in the EU (yes even with all its faults because it is better than the alternative). Given that we don't have that option right now (oh for democracy eh) the best we can hope for is to have a deal with the EU. Boris and his pals aren't so bothered because they can literally walk away from this mess (as Cameron and May have done before them). They are rich enough for it not to affect them. It will of course affect ordinary people like us. Also this from Mike Harding seems to make sense. Dear Brexiteers You voted Leave because the EU was undemocratic? (It isn't - all MEPs are voted in - ministers are appointed from amongst them. The Civil Service for 28 EU countries in Brussels is smaller than Whitehall.) You voted Leave because you wanted Parliament to be sovereign? (We never lost our Sovereignty - the govt White Paper stated this) You wanted Brexit with all of the same benefits, without the cost? (We spend more money propping up the 6 counties of Northern Ireland than we do for membership of the EU.) You were worried about immigration (70% comes from non EU countries. EU citizens here actually are net contributors to our tax system - and under the 3 month rule we can send any home back to their EU countries that don't have a job or somewhere to live - we chose not to use that power for some reason.) You swallowed the lies Farage, Mogg and Bojo told you "Take back control..." Well they have done - OF YOU. Now open your eyes to what we've got. Democracy shut down and a right wing coup - aided by you. You want "strong govt and a leader who gets things done"? So they did in Germany in the 1930s when Hitler got the Reichstagg dissolve because it was thwarting the "will of the people." Well you Brexiteers - He couldn't destroy the UK - but you have managed it.ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament?Just to say I tend to agree with you. So much brainwashing with the media seems to have gone on and it seems to have been successful to.ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament? It shows he cannot be trusted bazward. I certainly would not trust him. What do you think will happen if the UK refuses to pay the divorce bill? See its this kind of thing that concerns me over the way some people think. Like there will be no consequences. Plus the no planning thing I mentioned. Of course you are entitled to your view as I am. I disagree with your view.ViewDate:

Do you support Boris's decision to suspend Parliament?I disagree with many of you on here in not supporting Boris's decision to suspend parliament AND I hope that it can be blocked! Boris actually stated in a letter when he was seeking the support of the Conservatives for him being their leader (shared on Twitter by Antoinette Sandwich MP) that he is 'not attracted to arcane procedures such as the prorogation of Parliament' and that he 'aspires to be the Prime Minister of a democratic nation', finding consensus in the House Of Commons. He has done exactly the opposite of this! I also want to share these words here 'I hope I speak for a lot of Remain voters in assuring Leave voters that - we don't want to stop the UK from leaving the EU. Most of us, I'm sure, would be more than happy to let it happen provided Leave voters could come back to us with a clear path on achieving their goals - people don't wake up and decide they're going somewhere without planning how they're going to get there. There are a lot of people who voted Remain who are also not fans of the EU but feel the lesser of two evils is remaining until a plan exists that enables us to Leave the EU smoothly. There is no point whatsoever of jumping out of a jet if you can't tell me how we're going to get to the ground safely, and no, hiding behind a facade of misplaced nationalism and saying "we're British, that's how" is not going to work, nor is the old chestnut of "WTO rules" because that's already been debunked by the WTO themselves.'ViewDate:
