Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Thank you for the welcome - much appreciated. Those years that have passed have gone and I cannot get them back but what I can do is try to make the best of what time is left. So I am going to have to cram as much as I can into each day - I have no regrets for what I have missed but I would have regrets if I sat back and did nothing from now on. I hope to get inspiration from others on this site to help me move forward.ViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Hi One and All. New on this site and my first posting. After years of work and caring I am now coming to terms with the fact that I can do what I want, when I want. I don't mind being on my own but I have realised that life has passed me by and I need to catch up. So, I am starting a list - books I want to read, films I want to see, places I want to go, things I want to learn to do, etc. As I am very much an 'I'll do it tomorrow person' I thought that by posting on here I would put some pressure on myself to fulfil the list starting with learning to drive an automatic car (I've been driving for over 35 years but despite several attempts cannot get the hang of an automatic). If I can achieve this then I will post the next item on the list. Every day now is going to be a new day in my life.ViewDate:

Would you drive an electric car?It takes less than five minutes to fill up with petrol and leave the filling station. I understand that the basic top up charge could take 35 minutes (a full charge could be 8 hours). There could be a long queue of stressed out driver waiting behind me - no thanks!! There would need to be a charging point at every parking space to avoid this.
