Will you be joining in the Clap for Heroes on Thursday?I have every admiration & respect for the NHS staff. But they need a salary increase not applause. Also, a lot that were applauding last year were at the beach also, it was just a bit of a diversion rather than heartfelt. We can thank all our frontline workers by obeying the rules.ViewDate:

Post Menopause/EstrogenI used & use Serenity. It is natural. Takes a few cycles for symptoms to ease. But flushes stopped & never had sex drive problems. Lots of friends use it with good resultsViewDate:

5 things to watch to educate yourself on racism and white privilegeThe queen has never corrected her racist husband. He is a vile ignorant. man. The Windsor’s are racists & seeing & hearing the racist comments in public from Philip not much of imagination is needed to guess what Meghan suffered in private. These are the role models supposedly of Britain . I do not much hope of eradicating racism while this dreadful family in power along with a similar Prime Minister. We are a long way from a equal, fair, Christian society, alas.ViewDate:

Is a second national lockdown for vulnerable over 50s the right way forward?Getting the message to people to wear masks, wash hands & socially distance more important than incarceration of the elderly & most importantly, a Prime Minister who is in charge, articulate, consistent & who knows what he is doing. So far, with his lack of leadership & clarity l am inclined to think, we are doomed!ViewDate:

Do you feel that freedom of speech is becoming restricted in the UK?Sometimes it seems certain s people see offence in the most innocent remarks. Forcing people to agree with your lifestyle , sexual preferences etc does not bring true change. Someone once said to me, l know what l think about gay marriage but of course l can’t say it openly. And that is as wrong as the prejudiceViewDate:

Will you opt for the flu jab this year?I am allergic Have not had jab for 31 years due to bad reaction to the vaccination. I use preventative precautions Immune Plus from Higher Nature from October-February. Vaccinations have eradicated many killer diseases but we are over vaccinated now.ViewDate:

Looking to chat with like-minded new friendsStarted a course via Zoom & was able to continue qigong class the same way. It hasn’t been has bad as l thought it would be. I still have to isolate because l have a autoimmune problem. I really liked the tranquility & the fresh air when we were in strict lockdown but it is awful not to hug the children & grandchildren. How have you got on?ViewDate:

Would you eat lab-grown meat?Man has interfered with our food with consequences to our health & environment. I never buy supermarket meat, Always bought from farm or butcher. It’s cheaper, tastier, & supports the local economy. Meat from a lab. Yuk!ViewDate:

RacismIt’s easy for white people to be dismissive of police brutality. As a young mother, my husband & l took some friends sightseeing in London. We were stopped and abused & terrorised by the police. My hard working doctor husband even had to prove the cat was his. He was Asian. It is true racism is not . confined to people of colour. I am Welsh & have been racially abused and certain people have been racially abusive & had people laugh at their remarks. A friends daughter nearly had a breakdown with her treatment & was told by HR when she complained, to develop a funny bone. But back to policeman, it’s unfortunate but all over the world l think the profession attracts a type, a bullying bigotViewDate:

Should disposable barbecues be banned? The smell of them are awful too. Not at all appetising. In the lovely Forest of Dean left behind are bottles , cans dirty nappies, as well as the disposable bbq’s A Forester said , she would hate to see in their homes. Being neat, tidy & thoughtful is inborn. I agreeViewDate:

Should Dominic Cummings resign?Johnson & the police seem afraid to deal with this blatant flaunting of both the Coronavirus rules & driving while unfit with a child in tow. Imagine if Joe Bloggs did this? He has a lot of power. Who is this man? He & his wife seem careless parents at best & if they care little for the safety of their child, it’s no surprise they have spat on the sacrifice & losses of the citizens of this country during the pandemic.ViewDate:

Have you fallen victim to a scam?Yes, when newly widowed a few near misses & coincidently today went to buy CBD oil for 29.99 my bank blocked it & checked with me they were about to take £184.00 . Best to avoid buying online or stick with those that you know are established businesses.ViewDate:

Do you buy a daily newspaper?I enjoy Western Mail and occasionally Independent. But not lately. Not just newspapers but television news hysterically over do news until you tend to shut off. I use the red button mostly these days for a quick update once a day. That way you don’t feel as if you are drowning in it, whether it’s trivial like Harry & Meghan doing a runner or serious news like the CoronavirusViewDate:

Does wearing a face mask when out make sense to you?Exactly. I have medical masks from my nursing days & a filter mask. I have a serious allergy to diesel & use silk or cotton desert scarves. I could cover up as needed. It is different with the virus & it would need to be kept on & then sterilised after use.. But they are easily made. And surely, if they limited my exposure to diesel it would help protect against the virus?ViewDate:

Does wearing a face mask when out make sense to you?I believe masks are bound to help stop the spread. Desert scarves made of silk or cotton look less scary & are unisex.ViewDate:

Are Harry and Meghan making the right decision?Be good if all the royals did a runner. Supporters say they work hard. That get paid for it what else should they do. ?And working hard is like my friend last week. 14 hours on duty & NHS staff are going over & above at the moment but normally, work long hours with poor equipment. What can having a over provided family do to help this situation . I think we would be a fairer nation if the rest of the family joined Harry.ViewDate:

Is 7-years-old too young to give children a mobile phone? My friend was given that excuse by a school gate mum, to which she replied, if the rest of her class were given a whisky & cigarette for breakfast, should she just sheepishly follow even though it would be harmful for her daughter? Good question to those who say, well all their friends....ViewDate:

Is 7-years-old too young to give children a mobile phone?I get nose & gum bleeding using.A friend gets vision disturbance, so feel it too risky to give to children. Some countries do firmly advise against, & some, stop use ion public transport. by adults even. The licensing earns the government billions though & money comes before people in this countryViewDate:

Are newspaper stories to blame for destroying lives?I think we need good, unbiased journalism. But we don’t have it. I was upset at the treatment of Freddy Mercury & the vermin that hung around his home was sickening. No feelings that a man was dying before his time. But some people are reading these tabloids or they wouldn’t have a market. As with Princess Diana, the media were only feeding a hungry monster. I , personally, have no interest in vacuous celebrities & Royalty. They all seem immoral & dysfunctional. Let’s just have real journalismViewDate:

Should we rule out imported chlorinated chicken from the USA?I’m allergic, so l hope so! I have a supplier of organic chicken & have been told if you’ve eaten KFC & similar you’ve already eaten chlorinated chicken. Rearing chickens organically is not cheap & so one has to question the origins of cheap chickens & what chemicals are in them.ViewDate:

Is the UK Government doing enough to lessen the spread of Covid-19?As a former nurse you know when a Tory government is in power the health service suffers. Empty words from the PM . They don’t need applause from him they need ventilators & protective clothing & testing. So far, they have had to work with one hand tied behind their backs & putting themselves in danger. They are brave & shouldn’t have to beg to have the proper equipment & protection. If this government truly respects them..ViewDate:

Is it realistic to expect over 70s to remain in their homes for 4 months?I think curtailing outings & visits from family is sensible but with precautions going out once a week & family visit once a week will help mental well being. I have lovely places to walk, l can’t imagine what it is like for those without gardens & who can’t get to a park or riverViewDate:

What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts?Don’t like begging & generally it’s by over paid celebs probably being paid to do it & if they are not, it is free publicity for them. If people were paid their value, like nurses, doctors firefighters etc & celebs were paid their actual worth, we probably wouldn’t need so many charities -
