Are you concerned about mass train station ticket office closures?Well, some time ago, it was guards on trains, Now the ticket office. We can be as concerned and indignant as you like, but you are going to have it, wether you like it or not. Like cashless car parking. It's this attitude of callous indifference that gets me. Driven by two words! Profit and greed.ViewDate:

Should pay and display parking cash machines be replaced by parking apps? But it's not just parking is it? Now, you need photo ID to vote.. Taking things to the council tip? Don't forget to book your slot. ANPR camera,s, and a man with a clipboard checking you in. Where I live,we would contact the chemist to order our medication. Not any more. You now have to ring a.number, enter a six digit code. I was on the phone nearly an hour. Ended up going to the surgery to get them to get my medication. I was a day away from having none. UlEZ, zones, LTN . And bit by bit, little bits of freedom we have had, are being taken away.ViewDate:

Does your bank still have a branch in your town?Well, it's all because we're on internet banking isn't it? No it's not! These are the same banks that caused the Endowment mortgage scandal, ppi and others. In dire straits, the taxpayer, that is you and I,had to bail them out. Accountable to no one but shareholders, they only operate on two principles: profit and greed.ViewDate:

Do you support the vote for Nurses to go on strike over pay?The NHS has over 500 bureaucrats on over £100, 000 a year. Chris witty £2 10,000. Boss of NHS England £260,000. My local hospital has just appointed an "inclusion and diversity manager on, £62,500 a year. Now, who would you rather pay, some airhead no nothing, manager, or the nurse that treats you?ViewDate:

What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts? But also, it's the constant deluge of cancer, charity, and funeral ads. Absolutely nothing positive to say about anything. Combine them with, 24/7 rolling news channels, no wonder people's mental health is suffering. ItViewDate:

Should Scotland be an independent country?By all means, let them go. But, not a penny from UK tax payers : close all military bases, and all Navy ship building brought back to England. Then, let them go cap in hand to the quislings in Brussels. Welcome to your utopia.ViewDate:

Rishi Sunak's proposalYes, all that's going on. And still £14 billion a year in overseas aid. And that's the same whoever is in power. We are only wanted for two things these days : one is your vote, and the other is your money.ViewDate:

Should the humble Ploughman's lunch become gender neutral?Absolute rubbish! What is worst, is organisation's rolling over and not standing up to this nonsense. So what's next? Person cover instead of manhole cover?ViewDate:

Should smacking children be banned across the UK as a whole?Yes, and the very same politicians who want this banned, stood by for decades as sections of their communities systematically engaged in abuse of children and young people. And did not act! Hypocrites as usual.ViewDate:

Are you happy that GP’s opening hours will be extended?I think Maria highlighted a problem in her post. In our area, 12,000 new homes in one area alone. As the system cant cope now, what next? As usual, successive government s have known that GPS were not available to cope. You can be sure of one thing : the service we knew, is not coming back, whoever is power. B But what ever "service" we do get, will cost us more.ViewDate:

Have you had to sell a family home to fund a loved one's social care? We. apparently can't afford proper social care, but we can afford £14 billion a year in overseas aid. And of course, every year increases in council tax to help fund social care. It seems to me that these days, we are only wanted /needed for two things : your money, or your vote.ViewDate:

Do you agree with the newly proposed Highway Code hierarchy system? No one objects to any thing : but, the rules of the road should apply to ALL who use it. And the fact is,, motorists are an easy target. Cyclists of course, have no ID, and cross red lights with impunity and get away with it.ViewDate:

Do you agree with the newly proposed Highway Code hierarchy system? So, leading on from your comments, try taking 3 children and doing a weekls shopping on a bike. Or getting them to different schools at, 9 am. Good luck with that.ViewDate:

Should Matt Hancock resign over reports of an affair with his close aide? This is the person, along with the doomsters at SAGE who said, no singing, hugging, shaking hands, and only 3 people at the funeral of a loved one. Etc, etc. The most draconian loss of liberty in the history of this country. Did you see that item that the police went to the home of a 10 year old to check they were self isolating? Couldn't happen here? Well it has. And for those reasons alone,, and much else besides, he deserves everything that's heaped on him. But don't worry, as the other post said, he, ll soon be back!ViewDate:

What are your views on TV Charity Begging Adverts? For my part, I would close down DFID. But, before it closed, I would despatch every civil servant employed there, around this country. To every hospice and charity, that can and do save the NHS and government billions every year. And help thousands of people. And give them a share of the £14 billion. And also that other obscene waste, HS2.. And take all charity, gambling, and funeral ads off TV. About time, the people of this country came first.ViewDate:

Should smoking be banned outside pubs and cafes? As I seem to remember, when it was first introduced, it was inside restaurants. Over time, and as per usual, the tinpot tyrants thought, oh well, we got it banned there, we, ll do bus stations next. And they did. Now the ban is everywhere. I have never smoked, but bans have a habit of spreading. Pat them on the head, and tell them it's for their own good. That was easy wasn't it? Now, what's next.ViewDate:

Do you think 'Freedom Day' should be delayed? So what happens if it is delayed, and another variant rears it's head? Another month? I thought the vaccines were the "route to freedom"? Have you gone back to your pre-Covid shopping patterns?Good afternoon Viking, yes, fully agree with you. We, the public have little or. no say in these matters. And it doesn't matter who you vote for. I posted on another subject, we are only wanted for two things : our money, or our vote.ViewDate:

Have you gone back to your pre-Covid shopping patterns?Always tried to support and buy locally. Just a shame that greedy councils, with their extortionate parking fees, and business rates didn't do the same. They are in large part to blame for the demise of the high street.ViewDate:

Should shops continue to take cash?Could not agree more with the comments on here about this. Like everything else, joe public has no say whatsoever. Just to help you, banks have been allowed to close over 500 branches in lockdown alone. So you will have it, wether you like it or not. Customer service? Should historical statues remain in place?Surely the question should be, does a group of individuals have a right to use criminal damage to force their views on everyone else? And should the police stand back and let them do it? Answer NO. And let, s be quite clear about this. Would you be happy with a driving curfew over the age of 70?But where does it stop? A few weeks ago, it was said that only one person in a group would have to sign in at a pub or restaurant. Now it's everyone. Once they get away with that, it will not stop there.ViewDate:

Would you be happy with a driving curfew over the age of 70?Well said Lionel. Who would have thought a year ago, you would not be able to sing or hug? Couldn't happen here? Well, it has. And once they have these powers, you can be sure they will find plenty of other reasons to use them.ViewDate:

Have you been happy with accessing NHS care online?Well, you can see the way this is going. Same as bank branches. I don't doubt in many instances, it works fine. Eventually of course, they will say, because of fewer people going into the GP surgery, it will close. All very well if you can use the "app". But there are many like my mum in law (. age 89) who can't even use the mobile phone we bought her. Where do they go?ViewDate:

Are you worried about climate change?Yes, of course. Everyone should do what they can. What irritates me is how its all pushed back onto you and me. As if we asked for single use plastic containers. I didn't, did you? And, with all the recycling that we do already, no reduction in prices in the shops. ( when you can use them). -
