Does Bad Luck Come In Threes?Maybe you should change your username to Ratty, Roland Rat or the Pied Piper. Just reading your old post and wondered did the rats finally get you. Are they now occupying your house and you're living in your car? I have a neighbour who feeds cute budgie birds and grey squirrels in her garden and the rats have a lovely time scoffing all the spilt food. Once the furries get use to a place and have their escape tunnels they are very hard to shift. It becomes a battle of wills. They can grow very large as well. I hope they get stuck in their tunnels - neighbour included. I truely hope the outcome was a good one and you are back in control two years later. Don't let your guard down though- go on a rat attack - patrol your perimeters, keep an eye on the little devils, don't turn your back on them and then they can't sneak up on you again. They are the SAS of the pest kingdom - I reckon they have training courses in their ratty world in order to out smart us humans. They are secretly going for world domination and probably starting in your garden. Good luck!ViewDate:

Hello from Australia!Wow! I too, like the idea of seeing Koalas in your garden. The most exciting animals we see in the Midlands, UK, are foxes, badgers, hedgehogs and birds such as sparrows, bullfinches, magpies and pigeons. We have a zoo close by and over the years people have spotted some escaped animals. A gorilla escaped once and someone found a flamingo walking down the main high street. The flamingo had a walk around and then found his way back to the zoo. On one occasion a woman phoned the police because she could see strange eyes looking at her from the bottom of her garden. She said it was some sort of weird animal perhaps a rabbit. She stated that it could jump high. When the police caught it , it turned out to be a kangaroo - an escapee from the zoo. To see cute koalas though must be lovely.ViewDate:

Problems with PeopleI was silverteddybear years ago. Just thought I'd update. Well, I lost my job during the pandemic. I was the only one made redundant. The other co workers are still employed and doing fine. I haven't had a job since. When I apply employers say I'm too old at 63. I know it's against the law but they get away with it. I try to survive from day to day but I'm still lonely. Sisters have cut them selves off. They say they are on 'different paths'. I feel like I'm on the scrap heap and it's so hard to keep going. I've seen several counsellors and they say there is nothing wrong with me. If anything people/family are jealous. This amazed me as I can't for the life of me think why anyone could be jealous of me- I have nothing! Every day is a struggle. I just thought I'd up date this post and let you know what happened following the time I first posted.ViewDate:

New FriendsHi Greatgrandmadee2, I know what you are going through. I have suffered a similar fate. My husband suddenly died - no warning and for the first month my sister supported me and then suddenly she stopped. Both my sisters have cut themselves off and I don't know why. I've asked them but they say they are on 'a different path'. So, I have gone through similar to you. I too have no trust in people now and am lonely. I know exactly how you must be feeling. I lost my husband, my dad, my mum, my cousin and then my two sisters cut me off and their families abandoned me all within one year. My one sister wouldn't let me see mum for the last 3 years of mums life. No-one told me dad had died. I found out purely by chance when looking on the internet. I saw RIP on my sisters Facebook page and that's how I found out dad had died. Sister also posted photos of dad dying. All this after 60 years. So, I can understand and empathise with your last sentences 'I am so lonely. I miss my sisters so much. I thought they loved me and then they do this. Was my life a big lie? I can't get over this.' It really hurts doesn't it. Just to let you know you are not alone. Do you have any hobbies/interests- I love getting absolutely filthy digging in the garden. I'm afraid the weeds are winning though and the grass is threadbare but I enjoy the challenge. I do needle felting but often my creations are more like aliens from some strange planet. Do you have children and great grand children? Do they visit you? Keep smiling - there are so many good people on this site who will extend the hand of friendship. Take Care
