Hi Tress, I'm 56 and recently separated from a complicated relationship so I want to stay on my own for a while - I'm finding things a bit hard too, especially as I have almost no family. Most of my friends have large families with grand-children or elderly parents to look after etc and they are all extremely busy. I have a daughter who loves to travel and she just moved to Switzerland with her boyfriend. I'm very happy for them but I feel a bit lonely too. I'm not complaining because it's better to have nice (busy) friends that you see once in a while rather than none at all, but this means I'm often on my own at the weekend. And sometimes you feel like chatting but you don't really feel like going out (especially after work in the evening when it's dark, cold and wet outside) I live in Belgium but I come to Lincoln twice a year to visit my elderly aunt. I'd love to chat with you if you're up to it ! I run and read and I'm interested in psychology, and the news. I try to go to the cinema at least twice a month (and I watch series' on Netflix). What about you ?
