Speakers Corner CommentsAm I the only person who is thoroughly irritated by people talking into mobile phones while walking, swigging from bottles or cans while walking, texting while walking etc. or are these things just areminder that the world and behaviour that we new has gone forever ?ViewDate:

Do city zoos still have a place in a modern society?Animals in cages always seem so sad, can just about stomach them in wild life parks where they have a bit of freedom and rare species can be bred to return to the wild.ViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Reepham is alittle as yet unsoilt village in Norfolk England.Sadly no social clubs where single women with my interests, walking talking quiet pubs romantic music films and books could be contacted. So I live rather hermit like with my dog. Don,t fancy dating sites seem unatural to me. Is there anybody out there? Reepham area I mean.ViewDate:

If you were American would you vote for Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?Frankly I believe O bama has allowed Russia to look strong against his weak policies, Trump will certainly toughen up Americas image, Clinton will only weaken it further.ViewDate:

Do you support the Junior Doctor's latest planned 5 day strike?I feel that this strike is a disgusting attack on patients, by a very well paid and cosseted proffesion. It should be written into their training agreement that no strikes are allowed.ViewDate:

Do you approve of dummies? As a father of three and grandfather of five,I have always found the dummy to be very effective and much loved by babies and little children, I believe the dummy was also known as a 'comforter' which it is. Is this advice against dummies another blow against common sense from what I increasingly see as a world gone mad ? As I write this hanging on the wall is my eldest sons first dummy which my dear mother kept and labelled.ViewDate:

Are you getting enough sleep?l find it easy to doze off during the day, even in the most uncomfortable positions,so really I shouldn't complain , but its so easy to sleep during the day and so hard to sleep at night. Of course if I could refrain from day dozing no doubt I would be tired come bed time, but I'm really overcome by tiredness during the day and I cant resist a nap, although I always feel as if ive been doped when I 'come round'. Anyone out there with the same symptoms or maybe suggested remedies ?ViewDate:

Winter in the fiftiesYes I remember the girls in their woollen pixie hats, us boys had many types of headgear, leather helmets, balaclavas, scarves pushed inwards to make woollen hats, school caps, gloves sodden wet and freezing cold from throwing snowballs and sledging.Alas we don't get the old fashioned winters now in Norfolk like the ones I remember from my boyhood, but then the whole world and people have changed haven't they.ViewDate:

Just joined so I'm introducing myself.Dear Mandy, my feeling are similar to yours, tried dating but found that most contacts either wanted the moon, or felt a need to revenge themselves on the male sex. I live in the hope that love will be found naturally, in the meantime I live as well as I can and keep optimistic, which is all the advice that I can give you.ViewDate:

Which is your favourite Frank Sinatra Song?frank had many romances and new how to put real feeling and meaning into his songs, he new the pain of a broken heart and this appealed to a [now] old romantic like me.He has been much copied but never equalled, when he sang ,come fly with me, the ladies new he could actually hire a private plane for them.My favourites are strangers in the night, and a much less known but beautifully sung romantic number ,the only couple on the floor. Has the magic of Christmas diminished?ve the advent of commercial tele killed the magic of Christmas, and probably ended childhood as we new it. For the majority of people and children its Christmas every week no anticipating Father Christmas, children picking presents from catologues, no once ayear chicken , now weekly from the supermarket. Im 71 and firmly believe that all in all we had the benefit of innocent childhood and the magic of anticipation that's gone in the present day.ViewDate:

Reducing salt intake in your dietfood is so tasteless these days [ or is it me] that I find you must use o brout flavour,as regards meat they say fat is bad for you, to my mind it gives meat a bit of much needed flavour.ViewDate:
