Should Britain stay in the EU or is now the time to leave?the UK hasn't been a sovereign nation since we joined the so-called common market. The eu dictats spread into every nook and crevice of our way of life. 75% of UK law arrives out of thin air from the eu commission. We have 1 vote in 27 at the eu....this alleged top table. This isn't my idea of a sovereign nation.ViewDate:

Should Britain stay in the EU or is now the time to leave?Somehow we managed to govern ourselves before 1974 for a thousand years . How is that unknown? And risk all what? We have the whip hand on the new trade agreement, because if the eu doesn't sign up to OUR terms then German car makers start going bust within a month. it won't be a walkover like the eu did to poor Iceland and Norway....since we're (as you say) the world's 5th largest economy. The eu will have to be VERY nice to us...or we walk away. We've £55m per day to sort out problems for our exporters, but the eu's in deep trouble. NB If we stay in, they'll bleed us dry. Should Britain stay in the EU or is now the time to leave?the eu is an unelected dictatorship (the eu commission pull the strings of the so-called eu parliament which is nothing more than a talk-shop for the politicos...to keep them quiet with generous no-strings expenses) great for the multinationals since the taxpayers fork out the £55m per day membership costs, which they then repay by not paying corporation tax and squirrelling the profits in the cayman islands. Did you know the average US state now has more executive power than HM government, since so much has been given away to brussells? Vote for Independence Day on 23rd June. BTW, with the eu gone we get to keep feet pounds and fahrenheit, for those of us over 50's who wish to use them, instead of being locked up
