Windows 10 does anybody use it?yes, I have upgraded both our laptops, no problems whatsoever. Love W10, far more stable that 7/8/8.1. The only PC I have not upgraded is my server that rune XP, that is far too old and slow, but does it#s job as a network server. W10 is different from previous versions and it is worth reading some tutorials to make proper use of it. ut the changes are not significant, it can be organised to work like W8 etc. My desktop looks very much the same as it ever did. Some very old devices and programmes may not work, but they are very few or very old. If it worked with W8 it is likely to work with W10. Eventually you will have to go with W10 (unless you change to IOS or LInux), so go while it is still free.ViewDate:

I have been forgotten, I no longer existHave you considered joining your local U3A? it is a great place to meet people and join groups that have similar interests to yourself -- but be warned you might find you quickly need a ten day week.ViewDate:

Windows 8Windows 8.1 was better than 7 ---- BUT why are we concerned about those when W10 is available for free download to registered 7/8 users? Provided your PC/laptop is not too old, Windows 10 knocks spots off earlier versions and is far more stable. I still use XP on my older server, but W10 on both laptops (upgraded from 8.1)ViewDate:

LawnsHi Jen12. I had this problem last year. I bought a hollow tine tool and went over the whole lawn, took me about a week in short sessions. I then top dressed the whole lawn with an very gritty mix of loam and sharp sand, plus a slow release fertilizer, brushing it into all the holes. I gave it about a week for the existing grass to grow through the top dressing. I then over seeded with Suttons Rapid Green 2 Self-Repairing Lawn Seed (I could not find this locally and ordered from Suttons) The lawn looked much better after about 6 weeks, and a year on looks great again. It was a lot of work, but less than taking it up and replacing with stones etc. I chose this seed mix after reading an article about repairing worn out lawns which recommended it.
