Should the provision of Changing Places in public be toilets mandatory?I agree with all these comments. Although I don't have to deal with this situation I have a young friend who does and have heard about the dirty floors and difficulties she has to deal with. How do we get improvements here? Should we all badger our local councils?ViewDate:

Introducing myselfHello everyone, I thought I had introduced myself already! Have had a couple of goes but can't find any evidence of it so am trying again. I have lived alone for many years since my children flew the nest. I was still at work then but have now been a good few years retired. They are scattered around the country. Agree with Rozie about spending a lot of time alone.I'm interested in many things. Enjoy the countryside and am interested in conservation, enjoy pottering in my garden and especially love roses, but space is rather limited. I like reading, light classical and folk, some pop music. i enjoy historical documentaries and dramas but I am fed up with the Tudors! I have a little dog, whippet/staffie cross who has been a great companion but is now 17 and fading. I'm not good at joining things, especially on my own and I know I need to make more effort with that because there is no doubt I will become isolated otherwise. I do have some good friends but they are mostly married, which does make a difference. Enjoy meeting them individually for a pub lunch or a walk etc, but don't see them very often. Would be happy to chat with anyone out there!ViewDate:

Introducing myselfHello everyone, I seem to be making a pig's ear of this. I tried to introduce myself yesterday but now I can't find the post and I'm not at all sure I'm in the right place now! Anyway, I can empathise with the posts on this page as I too live alone except for my aged dog, and am becoming increasingly lonely, especially at weekends. I find it hard to get out and do things on my own and harder still to join groups where I don't know anyone. Sounds pathetic doesn't it? I do have friends but don't see enough of them as some are married and some have a lot to do with their children and grandchildren, whereas my 3 are scattered far and wide and as a result I don't see them much! I'm quite excited at finding this site although I not confident in using it yet. I love the countryside and enjoy gardening and reading among other things, so please get in touch if you are at a loose end! Incidentally, I live in West Sussex and I saw a post from someone who has recently moved here but didn't respond to it at the time and now I can't find it!
