At the loss of my little dog

FAY

The tears they flow, and my heart wants to break
I visit her grave, for my own sake
I tell her where we’ve been, and that I missed her today
I tell her I love her, and hope she’s okay
It doesn’t get easier as the days pass by
My little companion no longer at my side
I think of the good times, the fun we have had
and just for a moment, I don’t feel so sad
In my heart she is with me, I see her by my side
Every movement, every bark, as though she’s not died
These moments of thoughts are so precious to me
For Fay, God bless her, has been the best dog there could be
