It’s ok

It’s ok

It’s ok to be eccentric
To not go with the flow
To wear your hair in dreadlocks
And dance around in snow

It’s ok to let your hair down
Even though you’re no spring chicken
Do it while you’re fit enough
Before with arthritis you’re stricken

Even though you may get strange looks
While skipping down the road
Just smile while you are prancing
To get to your abode

Just throw off inhibitions
You’ve nothing for to fear
When you can show off your uniqueness
You have hid away for years

Yes do what your heart has longed for
When restricted by life’s rules
Do it when the sun shines
And play around like fools

For with life and its short nature
You’ll look back and then recall
When you lived right in the moment
And life was like a ball…
