My Favourite Room

My Favourite Room

My favourite room is the smallest room, it’s my favourite room in the house.
It’s peacefully calm and so tranquil, it’s as quite as any church mouse.
I contemplate my fine navel as I sit on my wonderful throne.
It’s a space for peaceful reflection and it’s a place that I see as my own,

No hustle and bustle of living or tribulations that cause me much stress,
just the simple art of relaxing in a small room where I can just rest.
I have no requirement for small talk or the dull mumbo jumbo that’s said.
Instead I have my small refuge where I clear my crammed, aching head.

Who’d consider that the small room was alluring? A place for rumination and thought,
with a mindful squat on the privy, for solutions and answers I sought.
Then with my new sense of being, I wander back into my life.
Transformed with a great deal of purpose, I can tackle the worry and strife.

Then with a small time of passing, I long for that wonderful place,
my chamber, my own little harbour, the sanctuary, my special space.
So when I go missing for hours, or I’m nowhere to find in the home,
just tap on the door of the small room, as I could be there on my own.
