My hero, my dad

My dearest darling dad
Wherever do I start
To say how much I miss you
To mend my broken heart
You were strong & kind & handsome
Your word I’d always heed
My guiding hand my solid rock
There in times of need
You’ll live on in my memory
I never will forget
I’m proud to be your daughter
Forever in your debt
I wish I had just one more day
to laugh with you again
For I know that life without you
 will never be the same
