Perhaps, some day

Perhaps, some day

Nostalgic Melancholy,
A gentle phrase
Not the heart wrenching sorrow
That fills my days

Perhaps something for the future,
Progress of sorts
To look back on our lifetime
In reflective thought

I know it’s what you wanted,
You left a note
“Remember the good days we had”
That’s what you wrote

You said I should “Be happy”,
And not to weep
Not something I can do right now,
My hurt runs deep
