Remember this?

Remember this?

Cream teas.
brown knees
bright blue seas.
Is it heaven?
No, it’s Devon

Bodies abound,
no space to be found.
can’t see the ground.
Used to be heaven,
now, it’s Devon.

Thousands of cars,
packed pubs and bars,
kids lose their ma’s.
You’re right, it’s not heaven;
It’s Devon.

Lots of stress.
amongst the mess.
couldn’t care less,
Definitely not heaven,
It’s Devon.

Peace at last,
the crowds have passed.
views again, vast,
It sounds like heaven,
YES, it’s Devon.
