The Years Go By

The Years Go By

The years go by so quickly now, and I am getting old
I wish that I could keep up with things and remember what I’m told
So many new things to learn, and times are changing fast
Nothing is for ever these days and nothing seems to last

Sometimes I get really scared of how life is passing me by
All the gadgets and tablets are quite beyond me that’s no word of a lie
It used to be so easy just to pick up the phone and talk
Now even babies are twittering and tweeting before they can even walk

I wonder what the future will hold for me and that of all my friends
Will we be able to keep up with things and master all the trends
Does it really matter if we lag behind, please be patient and please be kind
Our hearts are young and we try our best it’s difficult though with an absent mind.
