Think of Me

A very poignant poem written by Julia Dow – if you’re feeling bereft follow the signs of nature to remember your lost loved ones ….

Think of Me

When you see a red breasted robin,
Think of Me
When you see the stars shine brightly in the night sky,
Think of Me
As you walk through frosted gardens or when the sun is shining bright,
Think of Me
When you look around you at the family near and far,
Think of me
The memories we created will often come to mind,
Think of Me
When your heart is heavy and you think you cannot go on,
Think of Me
When you look upon my picture of days gone by,
Think of Me
When you look around as far as the eyes can see,
Think of Me
When cloudy days engulf you,
Think of Me
When waves crash on a sandy shore,
Think of Me
When spring flowers bud to new life,
Think of me
When you feel the burden is too much to bare, your life will carry on, because,
You’re thinking of me

I am a widow, with 3 sons, 2 grandson, 4 granddaughters, I love baking, travel, my social network, (one being Silversurfers). I am a retired Care Manager and most of my working career was in Housing managing elderly people's services. I think that social media is a great asset to the disabled, housebound, and lonely people to still be able to socialise meet new friends, keep up to date with family around the world, and up to date with the current affairs.
