Which queue do you choose at Passport control?
If you have a new biometric ‘chipped’ passport, you can use the automated ePassport gates instead of having your passport checked by a border officer.
This should mean that you can avoid the queues and get through passport control more quickly …. but does it!?
What experience have you had with the automated ePassport gates? Has it made your journey through Passport Control any quicker?
What is your most recent experience at Passport Control?
We'd love to hear your comments

Due to the blockages that causes I find I can get through the manual control as quick as the scanners.
That's my past experience at Birmingham - Luton is a completely different matter!!!
Always frustrates me the queues are generally longer for us than those visiting .....
I was waiting for 30 minutes for her to get through.
Incidentally, the machine was more friendly than most of the border force officers I've experienced in the past. If it had a coin slot, I'd have tipped it!
Yup - machine for me every time.
